Don’t be too harsh with him - maybe he doesn’t have the aptitude to multitask and can’t handle J-Space
You are attacked with 40k alpha small bomber fleet. Switching to skiff would only mean you’re going to die not instantly, but 6 seconds later when second alpha hits, before you’re even able to target stealth bomber. That makes every subcap fitting irrelevant, including cyno.
even max brick tank will die before lock time completes. So you won’t be laughing and you won’t be pointing anyone, you’d be dead.
If cyno dies while someone is in transfer, he lands on a sun. And there’s nobody to shoot there.
First they claim staring at rocks for hours is bad. Now they claim you should stare at people staring at rocks, with no right to miss the very second cloaky lights a cyno. Try it, so much fun.
So do I. By not undocking the same way you do.
How about not flying what you don’t want to feed to risk-averse trashes? Line, NOT flying?
There are no counters.
40 thousand bombers is a lot of bombers… but alphas can’t fly bombers anyway… this is confusing.
I’m actually more concerned about my corp members than I am myself. I have never been an easy kill, and it’s rare when I die because I am very paranoid, and experienced with this game.
My main has tens of billions of isk and hundreds of ships. That happens with over a decade of play and multiple accounts. This is not about the obvious of “don’t fly what you can’t replace”. It’s about many players I have known who have left Null (and often the game) out of frustration from being harrassed all day daily by players looking for fish in a barrel rather than a real challenge.
It’s frustrating when you try to build a strong group of people, but you keep losing members from changes CCP keeps making. I know 4 people personally who stopped playing after they nerfed the Rorq. The majority of the changes this year have negatively impacted PVE and made PVP easier. I’m surprised that skilled and experienced PVP players support making it easier to kill people. Is the kill total all that really matters? I would have thought that skill was a factor.
Not easier to kill people.
But a null sec space thats not full of people who stay docked.
The weak will leave game or to highsec.
The strong will survive, lose and kill ships; and have fun in the process.
Dont forget, this is nullsec not highsec - making excuses not to PvP in nullsec is ridiculas.
I mean imagine if no one in faction warfare undocked when there was a neut about…
Ridiculas.
Which is a fair point. People who need that challenge can easily get into J-Space. Why reduce the fun for some players in the game? This change doesn’t improve PVP in my opinion, but then, I play the game because I love to build ships, so my perspective is a little biased.

40k alpha volley damage from small bombers* not 40k alpha accounts in bombers
He’s talking about a bomber fleet with 40k of alpha strike damage. Not 40,000 bombers.
LMFAO
Still a lot of bombers.
I’m pretty sure your numbers are off. You can find 20 titans in Outer Ring and Great Wildlands, fer cryin’ out loud.
Lived in 'em. They were fun, if all you wanted out of EVE was a bit of instant gratification and carebearing. Sucked for any kind of deeper strategic play, though.
Have you decided which actual PvPer’s work you’re gonna take credit for yet?
Sure y’do, Binky.
A) Cloaked ships will not become any more OP than they were. If anything, they’ll be a little less potent, since you can’t just sit afk and cloaked in a system all day to intimidate residents with the threat of getting dropped.
B) No, you’re wrong. Right now CCP has offered no plans to change cloaking mechanics.
Does that mean all the ‘hunters’ talking about resubbing were too weak until CCP gave them a crutch?
Or does it just mean people like different things, and they don’t like feeling forced to do things they don’t like?
He means a bomber gang that does 40k alpha-strike. Which is… 8 Hounds. 9-10 to allow for low skills or bad fits.
Pisshead…off with you to the trash bin.
Awww, did I upset the poor little forum alt?
Awww…look at this goon creature …how cute…it can talk.
lets say 10, 10 v 1 is usually a certain bet but lets be honest if hes worried about 10 bombers he really is in the wrong neck of the woods.
Have you heard of Bombers Bar?
He used Alpha as in Alpha strike, I would have thought that a PvP player like yourself would understand that, so I will use the word volley to explain what he meant.
I have a specific bomber character and with T2 Torps and T2 launchers I get a volley of 4,899 which means the 40k which is actual 8.165 bombers, so 9 to make it less confusing.
As people keep pointing out it just means that most sub-caps are going to be blown up so quickly that a response fleet will never arrive. So the only way to operate is with supers, rorqual’s and with a super umbrella.
This is not difficult to understand and numerous people have pointed this out.
Bombers bar regularly have 80+ bombers.
Condescension skills still not getting any better, Binky. Take your time. Really work on making it to a 7-year-old insult level. Been here for years, I can wait a few more for you to make progress.
And you think the blackout won’t mean more people will stay docked?
I’m also not opposed to PVP in Null. I’m opposed to CCP making it like shooting fish in a barrel. That can hardly be called fun. Also, I would like to point out, that when we see a neut in system, that gives us reason to form up and prepare to fight them. null blackout just eliminates another tool for system defense.
Anyway, I’ve said my piece I will leave you to express yours.
Yep. Which just makes his point for him that out of no-where, there’s a first-shot kill that most subcap pilots will not have time to react to.
