This could be fun as a short term event. Shaking things up with random events is a great way to keep Eve exciting. I don’t think this should be a permanent change. We already have a WH space where this is the rule. With this new change, you’re just makes Null more like WH, and if I wanted to live in WH, I would. I don’t. I like knowing who is in a system I’m trying to mine, rat, or transport through. Null is different from WH just like lowsec is different from Null and Hisec is different from lowsec. For long term changes, we should find ways to improve those distinctions, not reduce them.
Tried to find something with guns on your kb.
Didn’t.
This is a pvp discussion kid, go play with other special kids somewhere else.
Well, if you mine like you use killboard, no wonder you fail! I’d say you didn’t look at my killboard, but you said you tried, so I can only conclude that you are a goblok.
Aiko in 1 month: “boo hoo!! Waahhh! Ccp! Null sec is dead! Nobody’s flying anything shiny no more! There’s nothing for meh 40k bomber fleet to pewpew on! The only thing out is massive mining fleets under a super umbrella!! Waaawaawaa! Cpp take away their ability to dock! Waaa, CCP make where they can’t mine with supers in system no more waaa!”
Dumb bears will never stop flying shiny ships full of plex, harvester drones, and skill injectors.
Orca should have been aligned.
Looked to me like the cyno was lit by a Black ops Battleship worth over 2 1/2 x the Orca
To risk that I would guess they knew that no support fleet was in system because they could see the number of people in local.
- In this case having no local may have prevented the hot-drop
He’s CODE, he would never dare shooting stuff with guns in the first place, even with 100% safety.
Won’t work. Cloaky can bump, catch you on turnaround, or simply point after decloaking and hope you’re not a bot with perfect reaction.
They also have unlicensed miners in claim null space…
As I’ve said in previous posts, the first week of blackout is going to be nuts with fights, cloaky and otherwise. If mining is your thing, fit a proc for combat or use a prospect / endurance if you are scared. You can escape the cyno / covert cyno if you’re prepared and at the keyboard, and if you’re alone, make sure you keep moving to an aligned location, or easy escape option. If someone is coming with a covert cyno, their initial ship is usually a covert frigate, or an arazu, and sometimes a tech3 c. If you’re solo, your only goal is to get what ships you can off grid, if you’re in a group, bring in a destroyer and kill their cyno, and consider moving to another system to keep mining, or switch to ratting in fast ships for a while. CCP has talked at previous events about the upwell observatory structures, flex structures that will probably give owners in a sov system the ability to see ships in system, and maybe even detect cloaked ships. Blackout isnt the last step in the changes coming this year, it’s the first of many while they focus on making Nullsec better and more engaging for everyone.
I’ve had this response before, and yes you are right. There will always be some derp out there flying something shiny… But what I’m saying is that there is going to be a MASSIVE decrease in said shiny ships.
My Pve Rattler for example is now parked, before the roamers in my area had the chance to catch me (if they could bring me down) fully dead spaced and factioned out with a high grade crystal full set pod... Now they have a chance to catch meh t1/meta'ed out Raven lol dead head.
Just like when the Plex vault came around, sure you STILL have some derps flying around with Plex in their cargo… But… There was a MASSIVE decrease (basically anyone with any sense) in the number of.
Eh you probably don’t keep up to date with the PVP world at all but ironically a few corps in CODE have some of the best PVP pilots in the game these days. They became a sort of refuge for the few people who didn’t quit as all the smaller roaming corps dissolved over the past 3 years.
This is a misnomer. All the large scale industrialists i know are pvp players as well. Its a common misconception that pvp players do not pve.
I suspect pve only players would be dismayed to learn that pvp players can drive the economy just fine.
are you a bot, or just stupid?
everytime the same Question
Well. WHers:
- do not know what is cyno (they have only see it used by defense side), they never had to consider it when doing some offensive/defensive activity
- they do not seem to understand that in 0.0-sec you can have 50+ fleets and this is considered “small size”
- they do not seem to understand what is it to have 100 and more “friendly” people around
- they do not seem to understand things like “dreadbomb”
- they are too used to play in semi-controlled environment where all holes are marked, signatures registered and having potential opponent next door you can predict size and composition of their fleed basing on WH sizes and size of groups.
So basically these people talk big about complex environment having partial understanding of just small part of it. This is really funny and sad at the same point.
Don’t ask - Don’t get
I can agree with you to 90% of detractors and 75% of supporters if it makes you feel better.
(i guess you have pretty strong evidence for that?)
Still the party continues!
Opposite. Idiots who didn’t get the memo would get educated, bears would take a break.
Discussed, has no chance to work, has chance to give free kills, will not undock.
Lie won’t get you anywhere, those are unescapable and 100% safe.
Would still take over 10 second even for a no-tank bomber, won’t work.
will get alphaed, won’t work.
The way it is coming, unannounced, undiscussed, treating me as an entertainer for people not intellectually fit to serve hamburgers, is unacceptable. I do not care what their next step would be until they promise steps like this will no longer be a thing.
Very Very big minus for this “sh*t out” from CCP.
CCP it’s your fault the game got so lame.
Stop imposing PVP on us from all sides - it annoys us.
By disabling locale in nullsec, you show disrespect to your community.
Doing it this way is the only fair way for everyone to let ccp make changes and test null mechanics. Local has been criticized as a cancer for Nullsec content for a long time because it does make things too safe.
As CCP analizes the stats from the blackout, they’ll decide on a better solution that just removing local, but for right now it’s the only way to really see what is needed to balance things out. Local chat favors the defenders too much in its present state.
