Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

Would’ve been possible if I had a goldfish memory.
But now I know CCP can get a piss fountain in their head again and pull out another Odyssey patch, that would murder even the corpse of hisec, and motivation to log in fades like it was never there.

trigs and crap invaded everywhere, if were being whlr’s. hisec should be nullseccr’s

Take a break then, come back in a year or two. I didn’t log on from 2012 till 2015 or so. All these in game things belong to CCP, we just move one’s and zero’s around on a giant spreadsheet within the server. Your stuff will still be on the big spreadsheet when you come back. You are being very hostile towards people which reflects hostility back onto you. You are very passionate about your cause, I can see you do care about the game even though you said you unsubbed.

Take a chill pill, see how all this pans out. Let CCP try a few things, these are exciting times on EVE. If you want to protest with your account by going Alpha or not logging on that is your right. I personally think you can have a great time during this event however.

are you in the mirrors again?

Lmao "just happened to run into a gate camp… " with the curse that was probably watching them cloaked… Point proven… :joy::joy::joy:

i’d love to see your kills during this no local season. Unless, of course, you’re too afraid to undock.

So you missed the best time in eve history? That sucks man.

I’d say the opposite, those are the sad ones.

If you can log in, that is.

Thank you! it’s not as good a PvE server but it’s a great start! At least it will keep the gankers from staring into a barrel full of fish and saying to themselves “hmm, who do I want to kill today so that I can get assets I didn’t bother earning.”

I came back and couldn’t figure out how my pilots licence was working for like 3 days, lol. Didn’t know what the hell alpha and omega were.

Thought so… :joy::joy::joy: didn’t even deny it, like I said, new meta, cloaky camp until you see minimal risk and then bring in your buddies, lots of skill required :joy::joy::joy::joy:

Pardon the noob question, but what is “crabbing”?

Uhm… while you technically could put a cloak on a curse (in the same way you can put a cloak on most ships), it’s the Pilgrim that’s actually the cloaky/force recon, not the curse.

You must be a ganker who only relies on other peoples efforts to make you $$. tell me, do you contribute to your corp or just live off of them?

It’s not even close.

It is too early to tell but the data doesn’t lie. Saturday’s usually peak at over 30k pilots, but today was only 28k. Friday was also down about 2k. All those people that said they resubbed did not make up the difference of people that stayed logged off. It will be interesting in a week to see if it drops even more when people start to not feel a connection to the game.

Yep, because cannot be detected by directional scanners makes no difference even without the cloak… :joy::joy::joy::joy:

Rik, crabbing, or krabbing, as it’s often written, is the pejorative for activities like mining / ratting, and possibly exploration as well. Non-PVP activities.

Wanted to add my own feedback.

Its been really fun. As both a hunter and one being hunted. Not knowing how many are in local really do make nullsec a lot more mysterious and interesting to go trough, it also adds to the experience since maybe this system has no one, be it someone doing PVP or PVE, or it might have a whole fleet.

I’ve also had many great fights which I feel like I can thank the Blackout for, I do hope this will be a permanent thing since it does help both nullsec resident and the ones coming there looking, or bringing content.

It was a great positive change. Many thanks developers, I’ve talked to many people who have come back to EVE precisely because of this, even the CEO a corporation my alt is in came back to have fleets and play the game himself again because of this.

Thanks! It seems to be a very useful word.
