That is a crucial question! How long do players take part in this parody of mass-test run on regular server where they supposedly pay to play? Removing one of crucial game mechanics without any prior discussion with the community, without analyzing counter-play options is pathetic, CCP. This āeventā looks like, say, World of Tanks developer would suddenly announce that tank turrets wonāt rotate for an undisclosed period of time.
I think this is a beginning of EVE agonyā¦let hunters vel ganktards camp each other with cloaky ships in empty spaceā¦

You have plenty of counterplay options. Make some friends with some w-space players and educate yourself on how to use the gameās many other mechanics to counter.
Local has very few counters and the ones people do use get you guys all in a froth. This game is not for the risk averse, so stop expecting it to be. This isnāt WoW.

Those skills are not exclusively beneficial to WH. They are universally beneficial in this game.
If you just want to be lazy and not learn, well, you wonāt find much sympathy for that.

I am legally blind.
In order to interact with Eve, I have to make adjustments to resolutions and font sizes that would make most of you cringe. I run at 1024 x 768, and thatās pushing it on my eyes. I run 800x600 whenever possible in other apps / games.
Bottom line, I have precious little screen real estate.
Hacking windows take up my whole screen. As in, itās not feasible for me to have a screen setup where I can easily d-scan while hacking.
So I will no longer be solo exploring in null-sec. I depend on local to know if / who is around. d-scanning every few seconds, the preferred methodology for (mostly) staying safe, is not an option given my screen limitations.
Honestly, my play time has been in a lull the past 6 months or so, and I was thinking about unsubbing until my heartās back in the game in a couple of years. I think this change might finally be the impetus to disable auto-renew and bow out quietly in August.
Iām sure this will be a great change for most folks, and making the game much more exciting and dynamic in null sec. But not for someone who canāt afford the raw amount of screen real estate you all can. Heck, I donāt even like being in fleets just because of the crowding on my screen all the windows take up. 
Note that Iām not asking for it to be changed back. Iām just trying to provide a data point from an under-represented minority. Been doing it my whole life.

EDIT: No, multiple monitors do not help. I have to sit with my eyes 6-8 inches from the screen, and it is just not geometrically possible to place my head where I can get that close to two monitors at once.
