Want to point to where I said “solo”? You’re trying really hard to avoid amitting that all you’re doing is defending solo play and trying to push away the blame.
IN wormhole space. You can have eyes on every wormhole. Be absolutely certain that noone is cloaky camping. And still be suprised when the new k162 appears.
As for cloaky camping. Im not gonna defend it. But what difference does it make if you can see him in local or not. He could be there all day for months logged in and youd have no idea if he was afk or not.
And even then, there are valid counters to cloaky campers, and that is staying on comms, using intel channels, and not playing alone. An attacking force is always at a disadvantage in nullsec, as they don’t have as easy access to jumping.
Then people don’t use that system? lol Ask Marshy how that’s worked out for him… I mean he’s literally made billions denying systems to sov holding alliances by placing cloaked campers…but again, “working together is too hard on us individual guys”
Again…tell that to Marshy…you’re expecting the sov holding alliance/coalition to have to do more work than the attacker which is ridiculous and hypocritical… If you want people to work together for everything, then take away the ability for one ship to kill another…after all “should require more group effort right?”
Or bait them into biting? Wait for the bombers or the blops to appear and react to it? Maybe generate some kill mails ?
again, requires more action on the part of the sov holder, you’re not A. accounting for spies (which I witnessed that happen just today with a guy calling out a cloaked cepter in an anom and the guy magically warped off to the gate right after he posted it) and B. requiring the sov holders to sit and wait for the guy to take the bait… while the “attacker” does nothing…could be afk the whole time, could be sitting waiting for the right opportunity…might know that it’s bait and not go after that target…
Oh cool, we’re just making up “facts” now I guess.
If you mine in null during the blackout, you can find bitcoins
3k botters and afk miners removed from the game like cancer is being removed by chemotherapy. Good job CCP
lmao literally been confirmed by several people on this post, literally one just a few posts above the one you replied to when talking about killing someone while they all sat afk in the station…but yes they’re just “facts”
If “more work than the attacker” means responding to pings and playing the game like big boys, than yes.
And just like that, we’ve moved right along to, “But… but data is the plural of anecdote!”
Id argue cloaky camping is nerfed by the lack of local. Now they need to have a fleet to back them up to be threatening as opposed to being logged in.
If its just one Bomber or a T3. Its easily counterable by communication
Yeah but they can just paste ASCII shark fins in local every few minutes if they want to do oldschool cloaky camper psyops, it’s fine.
lmao how so? so now instead of people not using the system, they’re using the system completely unaware they’re there and again make for an easier target… All the people on here for the blackout “work together, but on my terms, and only when I can win…make the game easier for me not them… bunch of entitled noobs with too much isk” lmao
Has anyone thought that the drop is due to players only logging in with primary accounts and maybe one alt?
The multibox players might not be logging in with their 16+ accounts, but instead only a few, so player count might be more real now than the fake mutlibox and bot accounts add.
Remember we’ve had many in this topic stare they were unsubing their accounts which were up to 20.
That’s one player with 20 accounts.
Think about that.
Blackout hits hunters just as much as ratters: hunter cannot see how many pilots are in system/docked, cannot check whether the target is a bait or not (via KB) before they land on grid, cannot see “local spike” beyond D-scan range etc.
Blackout is a double-edged sword.
Think of it like this: an attacking force now also has no real idea where a defending force is.
This is one reason people establish hole control in wormhole, cloaky campers are now taking a bigger risk every time they drop something large in the system.
I mean if they opt not to sub the multiple accounts then that’s still a loss for Eve and for CCP…
Sorry. I feel like im being misunderstood.
A cloaky camper is most effective as a deterrent to activity. If he is there. People do nothing. He could be in a atron with a prototype cloak and be just as scary as a titan. His weapon is local. Rarely backed up with a cyno for bombers or blackops
Without local. He can no longer afk all day for the same effect. He has to be present at the keyboard to spam Psyop ascii in local. He needs a fleet at his back to become a threat. Sure.
The damage he can do is limited now. If he goes for a capital ship. Have said capital Cyno in the response fleet. The local null blocks have way more resources than the people jumping in in most scenarios.
