Hahahaaaah! I can hear the aneurysms spread through the bear population at even the possibility of removing stabs. It’s like bubblewrap under a steamroller.

I mean, he’s right. A few ships should get to keep their stab bonus as role bonuses, but the module itself has no real reason to remain. That said, he also just demonstrated how ■■■■■■■ removed he and CCP are from the game. Stabbed plexers have already been covered and he’s not even aware. Christ.

Stabbed plexers haven’t been fully covered. When they did the initial ‘you can’t have it fitted when you warp in’, Fozzie said Plexing Ventures wouldn’t be a thing. They are. Hilmar’s statements are coming as replies to a tweet about a plex Venture, even. He’s not just talking about WCSs.

Sometime in September Some group will make the big move in nullsec. This will be the beginning of the new order. :+1:

I am impartial about the ‘‘no-local’’ because it has only been a weekend, but if it continues, I think modules for extending the dscan range is something that should be rolled out, since it will actually be useful and also make sense for covert ops to be used as specialized scouts.

I do think, it was easier to actively hunt neutrals or war targets while local was around, since intel could be relayed to channels, and you could get an idea of what direction whatever your hunting is going.

But constantly changing the game is like, shaking a bottle of oil and water constantly, expecting it to calm and balance out while your shaking it. It is not going to happen.

Example of how not to create content: How about we remove the bastion module? what would happen then? wait for it… wait for it… oh. that was a crap idea! How about if we remove NPC stations…

  • And this is how I feel CCP game devs are working. I know they don’t but they come across as some real theorycrafting hippies, with no foresight. Sorry CCP, I love you but you seriously need to renew your game devs team, or let them actually play eve for 6 months, and pay for it, and then they have an idea of what game they are actually working on.

I’ll let CCP be the judge of that, not someone who thinks they know more than CCP on the forums.

Well, you’d first have to given a reason why you’d want to target the Bastion module in the first place.

I could say, “Let’s remove Reinforced Scrap Metal from the game!” and come to the same conclusion as your scenario. Both will fail because both don’t even establish that it does / does not contribute to more “content”.

Removing local made sense to encourage more “content”. I don’t see how removing the Bastion module would make sense to encourage more “content”. :slight_smile:

I do, but it was not the bastion module that was the example, but the whole idea of just shooting in the dark.

I thought it was obvious but I was wrong.

so when does @CCP_Falcon say how the tests are going? Are they happy with the stats? Shed some light on the darkness…

The last fifteen years seem to disagree on that particular aspect. CCP has messed up so bad, time and time again.
Let’s just hope they have the required luck to bumble into solutions ahead.

If that is so, consider me corrected, but let’s not pretend Hilmar and CCP having the slightest clue about their own game isn’t fairly unprecedented in recent years.

Dear CCP,

I´m now playing for over a year with subscription for only one account, and I use only one account. I was in a WH corp., now I live in NS, if this change is coming to be permanent what is the difference btw WH and Null the, ? In WH you know the risk without local and the reward in ISK is much bigger then in NS. If you want to make the NS like WH please make the reward the same. Or kill Dscan, WH rolling in WH, the risk of NS and WH with this Blackout is the same but not the reward.
The Test of the Blackout I can understand but if it will be permanent, then please change other things to, and stop hit only the NS players, because my opinion is that CCP is hitting NS players, and the others can live like usual.
For exp.

  1. Hacking a DATA site level 1 in NS about 10 mil, same site in WH 40 mil.
  2. Fortification Frontier Stronghold in WH 41 mil heaven anomaly about 30 mil

  1. Gates don’t change destination daily, nor where they are in the system.
  2. Anomalies respawn much faster
  3. You can bring in as many jump freighters full of stuff into the system as you like without having to go looking for a new gate.
  4. T2 Moongoo, the rewards of which are much, much better than anything you’ll find in j-space.
  5. Cynos work.
  6. If someone is giving you trouble, friends don’t have to spend a lot of time trying to spawn a way to come help.
