Does no-one else see the contradiction between the claim that CCP ‘messed up time and time again’ and the fact that they’ve survived 15 years ? If they were really that useless the game would have disappeared long ago…

Also super cap’s can fit through gates, unlike wormholes.

It’s hardly a contradiction… The thing is that CCP never had even one bit of competition. We had nowhere to go to after each of their fuckups. The choice was between quitting and never playing something quite like EVE again, or sticking around…

But if they would have had competition at some point, then CCP would have died a very long time ago.

And “if wishes were horses, beggars would ride”. You cannot know that would have happened, you can only surmise and present it as your personal opinion. Replace ‘would’ with ‘might’ and it’s a fair point, otherwise it’s just wishful waffle.

I wish Blackout stay after today’s DT :confused: at least for another week.

How about this:

  • Make a new structure called a ‘‘radar scanning array’’. This structure needs fuel and have to be anchored within 1AU from gates. These radar arrays can give automated intel to a new type of local, only visible to the corresponding alliance owners of the system where these ‘‘radar scanning arrays’’ are anchored. These new structures can be killed just like ansiblexes or cynoinhibs. Meaning they will have a reinforcement timer.

This will definately make more content, and also make more sence, since radar technology exists in RL, but then intel comes at a cost, and can also be destroyed or reinforced for a period of time, making for some interesting game play.

  • NPC null = no local and opt. in. but with player counter in delayed mode like 5 to 10 min.
  • HS = local and player counter
  • LS = delayed local, as in ‘‘delayed’’ not opt. in. maybe with a delayed timer of 2 to 5 min. and the opportunity to opt in by chatting, full player counter, no delay
  • WH = delayed local, and extended d-scan range to like 18 AU.

Drifters = bot killers

Just some ideas to roll with.

Glad to hear that … Now, instead of watching the bots - everyone would instead go kill the bots, dump them out of your corporations/alliances and/or turn them in. maybe CCP will give local back?

scroll up , CCP already has something like this for years but is not implemented.

CCP need seriously limit external data for tools like Dotlan / Zkill . (thanks both of the site owners for turning it off for this event.)

So your counter proposal to removing local is to give local only to the defenders?

That will be even worse (better as an intel tool for defenders) than local.

I think, the idea needs to be discussed, and worked out. I see your point, maybe it could be made so that anyone can anchor them even aggressors, just to make it more fair.

Or you at least have to have taken the infrastructure hub or something.

One thing for shure, is they need to be a bit fuel hungry… pricy to run… and easy to destroy :wink:
