Just out of curiosity, have you ever considered to find a corp in lowsec and live there? You’ve instant local, can do pve, mining and have occasional pvp. Also they had lots more of gatecamps before the blackout then null.

At least from your text this would fit probably perfect to you.

Not trying to be a jerk, but you are so risk adverse that you are worried about losing an Ishtar. That hull is like 200m? You’re not making enough from anomalies to risk around 350m?

you said yourself you are more into pve, so standing won’t a big issue, alternative you could join faction warfare, so if you go for wartargets it is no issue anymore.

There is lots of options in EVE to find something for their own preference. You seem to just toggle between the one and the other end of it.

ye I make enough to replace it, but I also have the cost of pvp ships, alliance/event donations and such. and the risk during the blackout means that I might lose the Ishtar 1,2,3+ times in a row with and make 50 mill and lose all the rest. so there is little point to using it in my view.

I just like null and high sec more, I don’t want to have to have to be thinking about standings/security status. I don’t want gate guns or station guns to be at the back of my mind.

Sadly, you’re play style is meant for Highsec. Everything you have described is the reason the Blackout is occurring. Null Sec is not meant to be safe, that’s why is has such high rewards. Group up with others, stay aligned and be prepared to warp out if D-scan gets scary, etc.

Not really, you don’t have sov warfare or the politics in high sec, which is what a lot of people who live in NULL enjoy. In highsec you do still have the opportunity to die, but you’re missing the entire nature of NULL with your non-sandbox npc driven stations/economy/missions/assets/FW ect…

one view is that’s how its ment to be played, there are plenty of other ways to make null sec better risk vs reward other than making it a lot less fun for a lot of people.
and im not sure how i am more suted to high sec than null. like i said i like pvp roams, intel chasing, gate camps. i just don’t feel that the blackout is the correct way to go about it.
d-scan don’t show much if its a cloaky or recon
