Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

I wouldn’t dream of it - I have 3 Omega accounts myself, but never use more than 2 at once (that’s all my PC will handle). Once you get beyond 10 though, the mind begins to boggle as to how a single person could possibly control them all without artifical aids.

-2 paid subs +2 plexed subs  Voting in 2019 goes via money

Indeed. CODE. and Rorqual miners in Delve are masters at that art.

But I really hope that person unsubs 45 accounts. 135 fewer chars in EVE are a good thing.

So, its a positive change for you then, yes?

You should see what’s being said at the Bombers Bar.

Stock up on that popcorn. Lots of drama incoming.

Above is an example of a quote. I didn’t quote you in my previous post.

The rage + elitism is strong in this one.

It’s like CCP finally remembered that they are in fact CCP, instead of thinking they’re Blizzard like they have been doing for the past 9 or so years.

Hmm was considering resubbing but no local will severely hamper my playing (only 1 account) so will hold back to see if this is permanent or just an event . As with everything it has its good points but I think this gives to much power to the aggressor. Personally I would had just make stealth and recon ships not show up on local.

ummm, the ones throwing tantrums are the empire bears that moved to null sec to stuff their pie wholes while never X’ing for anything, not contributing to anything nor had any intentions to defend any that would require any risk at all. Thus those empire bears are most likely moving back with you. Have fun with that.

because 1 person in a site on their own really has a chance against a 40 man fleet? ridiculous is expecting one person to be able to defend themselves against this, Do you suggest they sacrifice themselves to you instead of having a strategy to defend themselves, they can’t defend themselves against the unfair 40 - 1, so being able to be vigilant and getting safe when fleets come calling is only fair. It’s not like these gangs go looking for a gang of 40 people to make it fair, they look for small guys and the small guy has to have a balance. taking away local is just another way to stop independence and force people to be in a super umbrella, and we all know you hate that huh?

Us Nullsec pilots are not throwing tantrums because NS is “suddenly” dangerous. We moved from Empire to Nullsec because we wanted the constant danger of being hunted by other RL people and the adrenaline rush that gives - or vice versa. And to build the sandcastles that CCP encouraged us to build. We’re upset because CCP have spent 16 years encouraging us to build those sandcastles and then profiting from the efforts we have made with the headlines it generated - and then, after 16 years, came along and started kicking them over.

I moved to NS to fight other people, not grind NPCs. I could have stayed in Empire for that.

That word is used a lot today.

I feel its meaning may have changed.

Pretty sure I wanted to play in Nullsec. Not a WH.

So they should leave the game in the stale, boring spot it’s in right now so people can rat & farm 24/7 with almost no risk involved at all? No. You’re all just making a big deal of it because you wont be able to press 5 buttons and go AFK, you’ll actually have to play the game.
