Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

you are saying they are not important, their playstyle is invalid.
they are customers and their menu entry is being remove from the menu, they are rightfully complaining.

Adapt or die!

The latest wave of stupid.

Do you never wonder why your game has been slowly dying since Dominion? I can just see the cries in the CCP offices! “Stupid didn’t work!!” “Only one thing to do - even more stupid! Let’s keep on pushing the game in the same direction!”

It’s destructive to my gameplay too. But change is good. It disturbs the status quo and makes the game challenging

Will be interesting to watch the numbers over the next few months…

You do realize that you’re invalidating your own points just by speaking about cloaking mechanics?
If you have active players who have more braincells than you apparently have, they can either…
Put eyes on entry points (preferably cloaky)
or learn to ■■■■■■■ press the god-damned V key every once in a blue moon.
Then you know they are there. You warp your ■■■■ off dscan, dock up, go to the next ■■■■■■■ system, cloak up or whatever, He won’t be any wiser about who’s still in space, system, or even the damned region, because there’s no. ■■■■■■■. local.
grab a fuckin intercepter or for fucks sake a slicer, and camp your own entries and blow the scout up if he somehow is worse than you. Which might be challenging for you.

Holy ■■■■ its like I’m talking to a record that is broke AF and doesn’t even know the mechanics of the game.

WormHolers need to experience Cloaky Campers with CovertOps Cloak and Cyno. Now imagine perma WHs and no ship restrictions plus the Cyno itself. WH’s are in many ways will be more safe than Nullsec.

i mean, yes thats what i am saying, also i am saying they are leeching off the hard work of others, the people who do not bot/crab afk/whatever give places like delve a reputation for being so well defended by all being on comms, in fleet while crabbing and alert enough to light cynos… i mean all thats asked is don’t be a pubbie its really not a big ask. having lived under horde where there is no active defensive supercap umbrella for u to krab under in gem you realise that the alternative is much worse; trust me.

@CCP_Falcon if the player base wanted to live in wormholes they would be living there, they don’t.

Don’t force me to play wormholes online.

Instead fix sov mechanics like cyno jammers and time zone tanking, listen to your custumers, listen to the CSM.

Don’t go ahead with this mechanic that will only remove solo play style from nullsec in favor of constant fleets.

Don’t make us vote with our wallets.

They haven’t said it was permanent. Why are you unsubbing? If highseccers can deal with invasions and incursions interrupting business as usual, surely nullseccers can adapt for a while.

People live in wormholes without local PERMANENTLY and thrive. Youll just have to learn some new procedures and apply them a little while. Big deal.

your argument is invalid, many people don’t live in wormholes because they don’t want to scan ■■■■ down constantly, they don’t want to lose access to entries/exits through a few jumps, they want to know their place in the galaxy (consistent access points to fixed locations) and they want the chance of running into other players to be somewhat reasonable.

Maybe you should. Until you do, all your words are just empty threats since they’re still making money off you, lol.

Correct. That is my issue with holes, there is a TON of logistics and you can’t say “The hell with it” and just jump a couple caps to haul things.

Unnatural, what can be done by local chat.
I hope that it is a permanent measure.

Tactical changes that accompany this change.
Add strategic value to stealth ships.
So much fun.

You need to live in a WH for more than 5 minutes before you can speak like you know how it works in jspace. We have less control over holes because A) they’re ■■■■■■■ holes, they move, and B) you can always end up with even more incoming holes just when you think it’s safe.

All removing local will do is deprive LAZY IDIOTS of free intel, while BENEFITING those who play the game actively.
If you have active eyes on a gate, that doesn’t ever move, and you listen, you’ll always catch the scary ships coming into your system.
If you’re space-poor and don’t have 2+ accounts and no friends (seriously why are you in anything but highsec unless hunting in this case), then just press dscan key (default v), and you’ll see anything scary before it can jump you. And if you’re mining/ratting, stay aligned. literally nothing can ■■■■■■■ touch you now, and people won’t sit and constantly camp your system and show up scary red (while afk and therefore not a threat in any way).

If you’re schmoozing the game by mining AFK for hours while not actually playing the game, this might affect you. If you’re a botter or RMTr this might affect you. Otherwise, its a benefit.
