And for the record, Omega does more than remove alpha restrictions. It provides additional incentives, like extra rewards. Also, Alpha is the new basic. But I digress.

In terms of the actual gameplay, Omega status lifts the restrictions on Alpha accounts – what you see as “additional incentives” (dual login tracks, 10x EverMarks etc) are marketing fluff/social engineering to get FOMO sufferers logging in daily. Are some of them advantageous? Yep – but they’re not gameplay essentials; if you skip them, it’s not a tangible loss.
As for Alpha as the new basic? Not even close, Alpha status is nothing more than an unlimited trial with mechanical restrictions on which parts of the game are available, unless you hand over some money to CCP or grind isk to get Omega status.

Alpha is the new basic, the default mode of EVE. It’s not a trial run. And that is an objective empirical fact. A trial, by definition, would involve full access to everything (i.e. Omega) to try it out. Times have changed. Deal with it, old man. Yes, Omegas is the way to fully experience Eve and now you have to pay a premium for the full experience. Just like if I buy a car with the most basic default package. It’s not going to be the full range of options. You only get the “full experience” with the most expensive premium package.

What I stated doesn’t just apply to this particular holiday. Thanksgiving just happens to be the one I know of overlapping with the latest event.

You have to be at your PC and log in to the character select screen at least, which is the intended outcome of these log-in events.
They’re meant to boost log-in numbers and meant to make players engage with the game daily.
If you think that my ‘reply is based on a false premise’, what do you think the intention is of the log in events?

Right and most other holidays are also mostly down to specific countries, CCP isn’t going to avoid putting out an event just because it clashes with a random holiday somewhere, the beatings will continue until morale improves

Why would they care if you open the character select screen? They want actual logins and engagement for their metrics, right? The character select screen IS NOT logging in. It doesn’t help their metrics at all. In terms of metrics it’s like you never logged in at all. Contrast this with the AIR daily goals or the in-game event reward track.
I‘m sure they would love to generate engagement. The issue is it doesn’t generate engagement or logins. It’s just a gift. The issue is that Omega pay a premium and are entitled to their not-so-free “gifts”. Your reply stating that the point of the daily login campaign (which is a misnomer) was to get people to login, but it doesn’t. It requires no login at all.
Where did say they should cancel or reschedule the event? Quote me.

Disagreeing with you isn’t trolling unfortunately, either log in like the rest of the country or don’t and accept that you’ve missed your chance, CCP isn’t going to change the event just because you aren’t able to attend

You sound like some sleazy politician trying to make “entitlement” a bad word. Omega are entitled. Omegas pay a premium for Omega benefits and are therefore entitled to Omega rewards. Just like people pay into social security and are entitled to social security benefits.
If only you disagreeing with me was the issue. Intentional lying about my position and making stuff up is a form of trolling. Because at this point it’s been pointed out to you multiple times and you’ve been asked to back up your false claims by quoting me, which you have not because you cannot and you know you cannot. So, yes, you’re a troll. You’re not doing it in ignorance. You’re knowingly, intentionally, consciously lying.
Omegas are paying for the game, just as before… except we are called Omegas, and not subscribers.
