Make 1.0 systems Totally Safe :)

I didn’t imply any of that. Maybe you should read more.

I explore plenty in this game. I’m almost always on the move.

Yes, you sure did. Another forum thread killmail in the books.

Isn’t that what Discord is for?
Oh wait…

Yet another “waaaaaa the ebil gankerz are so mean!!1!” thread.

I want mining lasers to be able to be fired upon another ship. It takes damage as I slowly mine its hull

I’m perfectly fine with making 1.0 completely safe as long as you get no profit!

That would cut out some of the Trade Hubs and most of the Rookie Starter systems…

Can rookie systems make isk these days? I haven’t kept up on that.
one.

Well the soe arc goes through the rookie systems and you can make some isk from it, plus hek is in the rookie system

Next question would be could those sys be excluded from such a safety? Trade hubs being player made and not CCP’s idea. That being said, would it affect soe gameplay?

Rookie Systems have Asteroid Belts, Cosmic Anomalies and Cosmic Signatures in them so yeah…

They also have Market / Trade items in their stations that can be bought or sold…

OK, then make a 1.1 sys where you can go and play for free, chill with your friends with no risk/no profit. Attach it to the starter sys and not let any cargo pass.

I’m not sure but CCP might be trying to do that with this:

“hostile elements have already begun to infiltrate Exordium” doesn’t seem to be what new players want.

I’m asking for a sys that still gives a reward for just showing up. No risk, no reward other than turning in ore for tokens that you can use to buy things that CCP gives away free daily. Ship skins that only apply to them or something along that line.

My impression from reading that is it’s a New Player training area that won’t allow any PvP to be initiated by players… The ‘Hostile Elements’ will be weak NPC’s made specifically for training purposes…

I guess the idea is it’s suppose to give New Players time to learn how to properly fit and pilot their ships in preparation for the reality of Eve…

My question is this, why would that area need to be implemented if, according to various forum posters, CCP Rice already proved in EVE Fanfest 2015: Using Science to Help Newbros, that New Players don’t get ganked..

Your smarter than that statement. I said give new players what they want in a reasonable way. Not going to watch 35 min of hyperbole.

I support this and we will become a tightwad until we see 1.0 better security!

Yeah, the CCP Rice statement about New Players and ganking is in the first 5 minutes of that video link.

Anyway, I think CCP’s idea of a New Player Safe Space is that Dev Blog I linked earlier, the CONCORD and AIR Exordium New Space Region…

While I respect your opinion, I still like my idea better. No risk, no gain except for what I stated. Your far better on the forums than I. Maybe put up a poll for new players? Both of us being veterans of the game, it can be had to see it from a completely new player perspective?

That’s just NPCs rats that will likely not do much damage for newbros to shoot at. There won’t be ganking happening in these new systems. It’s all just a kiddie pool for pilots to learn game mechanics then they’ll enter the actual game space via Yulai or where ever the shipcasters lead to.

This indeed seems to be the ‘safe space for newbies’ that people have been asking for.

I just hope it has very minimal economic value and doesn’t offer any additional safety to trade routes or industry, so it’s purely for newbies to learn the basics of the game and not for veterans to hide in safety.

It seems that’s referring to NPC pirates so newbies can learn how to use their guns an drones in a PvP-free zone.
