PA wants their money back. That is why marketing peeps work overtime, while devs have to listen to what marketing says and do what they want. That is my idea after watching all of this mess.
Hilmar sold CCP independency to PA, got his money, and now people have to pay those profits PA wants from CCP. Its like CCP have debt or something now.
Imagine CCP Falcon was writing on those forums that nothing will change… people were right tho:

you realize if you made those other accounts, or used your current character, to go do those things you want to do then the ratting/mining changes wouldn’t even be a problem you noticed?
PS: mining and ratting have always sucked, they are the obvious activities and have always been over saturated with dumdums.
Whoever have more than 1 active omega account really doesnt need it. Speaking from my own experience.

… but fact of the matter is that EVE ONLINE - as a whole - is doing fine …
… and actually better than the rest of PA’s stuff.
Yep. I did; months ago and only check back on rare occasions like today. Put all your stuff into high sec secure stations and put your time into playing something else.
The current build isn’t a game I enjoy either, it’s best to speak with your wallet and time–posting on a forum like this is just fodder for trolls.
Yesterday I gave it another try but the game make it hard to love it. All my ratting systems went downs with the bounty multiplier. Because of this nobody ratted and the Military Index went down, too. I calculated that the expected nerf was down to 50% compared with former times. In fact CCP halved the ratting income. I searched for other ratting systems but he interesting ones hat a Wormhole.
So I tried to mine - but no interesting mining to find.
This is one of the reasons why “fun” is useless in any and all discussions, because it doesn’t actually define anything.
Of course the below-average crowd who will insist on insisting that (their) “fun” is paramount …
… will not budge even the slightest when it comes to what they believe identifies them as a person.
So we have tons of greedy people who believe it’s “fun” when they hard plenty of ISK …
… and it’s not wrong to claim it’s “fun” in a superficial perspective …
… but in actuality are they just seeking to silence a desire they can’t silence in real life.
I knew a carebear irl. He had a blinged Drake, believing it’s virtually indestructible. He was one of those guys who escape into games where they can be the hero, save people, etc etc. In the end, though, his “fun” was equivalent to the desire of not existing as he does. His “fun” was escaping from a reality which makes him sad.
… and I bet at least half of those complaining are actually RMTing.
I play only (!) because of fun. Of course “fun” ist totally subjective and bases on personal opinions. Personal fun is not a fact its an opinion. But this is not a bad thing. When I have fun or not doesn’t mean that others have the same fun.
So the actuel nerfs stole “my personal definition” of fun and this is the reason “for me” not to play as much as before.
