There is no temperature though that is beyond reason. It could be 900 degrees its still her fault and she deserves nothing and should have been prosecuted for it.
So. You Use a billion isk ship with a module you copied from youtube straight at TQ?
So, youâre telling me if you make and sell coffee thats literally 900 degrees and someone spills it on themselves by accident, getting severe burns as a result, the person who made and sold the coffee owes absolutely NOTHING to the victim? Thatâs just â â â â â â up
Canât wait for him to find SB Titan vids.
She bought coffee. At what point did she become a victim?
When she spills it on herself and itâs so hot that it burns the skin to the point it needs medical attention and is potentially life threatening
What if McDonalds had made her sign a waiver stating that she would not spill it on herself? After all, that is not an intended use case for coffee.
Yup. this is what really happened.
If she had to sign a waiver that sheâs not liable for any harm caused by consumption of the product, thatâd be a different story. As we all know though, you donât sign anything when you buy coffee, and just assume that it ya know, wonât hurt you.
Just because something isnât an âintended use caseâ doesnât mean it canât be completely ignored. Here in first world countries we have these things called food guidelines that basically say something has to be safe to be made and sold. Something that will burn you severely if spilled (a fairly common accident) isnât safe.
Imagine if you were the owner of a store and you had to deal with all the dumb stuff that idiots could do to themselves. You would go out of business paying all the lawyers.
Donât try to tell me youâve never spilled something on yourself when you were trying to eat or drink it. Everyone has had that happen, and a spillage isnât the same as some truly idiotic stuff like drinking bleach which has warning symbols all over it that itâs not safe to drink.
To use an example of something being made safer against accidents, letâs talk about cars. Your car has safety systems like seatbelts, airbags, and potentially some other more advanced computerized systems like automatically adjusting to stay within the correct lane. This is so itâs not as likely to kill you if you crash the car, despite crashing a car obviously not being the intended use case.
Why didnât she sue the people who sold her the sweatpants, too?
Because they had no control over the temperature of the coffee.
McDonalds had a huge file of years of complaints about its coffee causing burns to people. The coffee was well above standard recommended coffee temps at the time (near boiling point) plus they were giving it to people in flimsy cups who were sitting in cars. McDonalds ignored incident after incident until it came to a woman needing literal skin grafts on her groin.
McDonalds was thinking only of the customers who order coffee and wants it still hot after 20 mins driving across town to then drink in the office. They put the satisfaction of the majority of customers over the safety of the few.
There is only one reason anyone ever sides with McDonalds on that caseâŠignorance of both specific and general facts. (assuming they are actually giving an honest opinion).
Tell me, when did you ever go to a friendâs house, and they hand you coffee and say to be careful its hot. And you say well yeah, of course its hot. Its coffee! And they say, no, you donât understand. Its third degree burn hot. You are gonna need an actual skin graft if you spill it on yourself or your kid. No hyperbole. SKIN GRAFT. Oh, and sorry about the paper cup, but I am a cheapskate.
You would then reply, mate, you are a fooking idiot!
But I donât see the connection between this thread and that case. I side against both McDonalds and the OP.
edit: the wiki entry says I am wrong about the standard coffee temperature, but I am sure I read somewhere that McDonaldâs coffee temp was well above standard. At any rate, the temperature is above what you would normally get at home or even at a restaurant once its in a proper mug, and McDonaldâs knows well that customers in cars will remove the lids from their flimsy cups to add cream and sugarâŠbut they really donât give a damn for safety.
OP
this game is not for you, believe me
you donât pay attention to your mistakes and blame others instead of you
you donât try to understand what went wrong
find a solo game where a npc will ask you to collect 10 wood pieces or kill 10 wolves, and then will congrulate you calling you the savior of the world
I have never seen Anderson Greten âscammingâ nor âtreachingâ (your wordsâŠ) in any post on this forum
YOU â â â â â â up, YOU made mistakes, YOU lost your ship, YOU donât want to admit it and YOU blame others
Good riddance
Btw I heard people have cheap 1 mil Geckos for sale in Jita local, perfect opportunity for you to recover some of your losses if you resell them for their full value.
No matter the fit, if you fly the ship wrong you die.
I know fits that Anderson and Acey posted, just not these particular polarised ones, but in my experience they share thoughtful and useful fits.
(Except Aceys joke video for the first of april, that was a good one, but was no polarised marauder!).
Learn how to fly before losing billions.
Also Iâm pretty sure this is a troll thread. Right?
Well⊠he doesnât test his fits very well (alot of his blinged T6 abyss fits will simply die 30% of the time), he does 1 or 2 succesful runs and makes a video about it
But I donât see how thatâs a scam xD
Well, the problem is that you lack the necessary knowledge to fly a Polarized Marauder. So, in your logic, every character that refers to Polarized fit is a scammer. Here, take mine, be a guest:
And now lets be a little bit more constructive. First of all, I hope that @Aceyfacey continue to do more videos adout the matter, and @Anderson_Geten continue to expose is excelent knowledge here in the foruns about his fits, well, if you try to search a little bit.
Second, welcome to EVE Online, and I hope that you are enjoing the game. You just learn the first rule, never fly what you cannot pay. Marauders are easy mode of Level 4 missions, even polarized. I have done hundreds of missions with Polarized Battleships, never lost one. You just have to research the fits and missions that can provide the correct results.
Third, you know that exists a Test Server? You can try some fits and see if works.
Last point, dont blame the others for your own fails, be constructive, try to improve next time. A lot of people come here and ask for recomendations, and good folks, @Anderson_Geten included for many many times, come here and give the best advice possible.
Lol, this is a new quality. OP, nothing in this game is of any value. Itâs all pixels, itâs all owned by CCP. The only thing you are entitled to is the access to the game for your subscription money as long as you follow the rules.
Would you blindly follow every youtube video procedure? Then you are probably looking forward to the Darwin award. Itâs your responsibility to take care about yourself.
Regarding Marauders, polarized Marauders are perfectly valid, you just need to know how to fly them. Nothing for beginners.
