Ntrosell2 For CSM 20 - Wormhole and Overall Player Experience

Hi, thanks, likewise, and of course, let’s see how it goes.

  1. EVE Vanguard
Did you have a chance to try it out during Operation Nemesis or before? What was your impression, if any?

A: Yes, I did try it, but I didn’t like it because it left me feeling disconnected from what EVE Online is all about. I’m a shooter fan, but I think there are better ways to do this in EVE, making the game more immersive without needing a separate add-on, but you get the point.

What do you think of the planned two-way connection with EVE Online?

A: I like the idea of having first-person access to your character, but I don’t like the idea of it being through another game. However, there are some great ways to make it work.

Do you think it has the potential to attract more players to New Eden?

A: Not in its current state, but I think taking a different approach, making it a more “immersive” experience on your ship or in the EvE world, could be a way to make it work.

And do you think capsuleers will benefit from this?

A: More players means more gameplay for everyone, or so I think. Any new mechanic is welcome.

  1. Information and ISK Items
What would you think about being able to take notes from your notepad and place them as items in a container or cargo on a ship? The same with the ISK amount? Just like you can do with PLEX.

Would you suggest CCP consider implementing this?

A: I think it’s a good idea, but it might be a bit over the top. The vast majority of items already have a good description, although in special modules like Abysal or Officer, it might be a good idea.

**We currently have containers that already give us that necessary “order,” although adding notes to items can be great for those items we have to remember things or organize production.

  1. Production Plans
Basically, the idea is to group all the BPOs (BPCs) needed to produce a final product—for example, a Drake assembled and fully equipped according to a predefined setup, ready to use—into a single BPO-like element, and organize it internally into a complex production workflow. It’s completed with logistical tasks, if necessary, through projects from the delivery company. You could use the BPMN diagram editor to organize it.
When installed in an industrial job slot, it will produce those Drakes in series, as long as there are necessary materials in linked containers, or it will stop until they become available again.

Would you suggest CCP consider implementing this? Or at least expanding ESI to allow third-party developers to do so?

A: If I understand correctly, you’re referring to broader interaction between Corps projects and things like blueprints and industry jobs? That would be very interesting. I like the idea, although I hadn’t considered it. Sometimes what a player, especially a new one, needs is for you to give them everything as simple and straightforward as possible. Making all of this an automatic process will be more engaging and will bring these projects back to life.
