Ok…NOW I think Eve is dying

You can guarantee that whatever happens in Eve…there will always be some Jonah forecasting wailing and gnashing of teeth and the annihilation of the entire universe.

Vanguard was one of the announcements, there will also be a new pirate faction warfare system added along with numerous other changes and improvements the OP clearly didn’t actually pay attention to

It did actually happen. The one time they tried to do WiS, we had the first ever online riot in video game history to get them to stop. I’m pretty sure they aren’t going to go there ever again. Don’t hold your breath anyway.

Um, no sir

You can watch this FF’23 panel to learn of MMO’s players riots history…

Really? Thats what I’ve been hoping for myself tbh. That’s awesome

Yup, you’ll be able to ally yourself with the angel cartel or the guristas pirates and run new FW content against other capsuleers on behalf of deathless, for FW players there is some new interesting stuff coming, they also announced changes to the corp objective system they added along with a host of other things, its worth watching the keynote for more than just the pretty new vanguard gameplay they showed off

That would’ve been the best thing they could have announced: fixes for decades-old bugs, massive improvement to the garbage UI, dynamically generated missions, changes to mechanics that make the game universe more believable…any number of possibilities. We got none of that with one possible exception that nobody could even understand when CCP first announced it. The mission editor for corps (why it would require a corp I have no idea yet) implies to possibility of creating missions for anyone. This is a common road for MMOs in maintenance mode to take: pawn off content creation to the players, which EVE already does for the most part. Of course there’s as 50/50 chance it’ll end up being vapor - this is CCP, after all, and opening up mission creation to players might be a huge can of worms they’d cancel at the last minute.

Really pumped for the FPS, I’m wondering if there will be some benefit to being Omega and playing it, like added benefits to having an Omega character in Eve. I wonder if we will be able to link our Eve characters to our FPS characters, that’d be really cool.

Will see, all hyped for Vanguard, know it is product in development for testing and feedback, so yeah it will be jolly good messy

I´m not caring about the FPS at all, but think it´s a nice and interesting addition to Eve, and hope it works.

But what was much more Interesting, at least for me, is the how CCP is adding content to factional warfare. This area of gameplay has been almost ignored by CCP for over 10 years, and now we are getting more and more new systems for FW, starting with the Frontline Systems, better visualization of the fought over Systems, and now the whole Pirate aspects in FW. So really looking forward to it and behing hyped.

But yeah, I can understand that people who play in other areas of EvE are disappointed, so was I most of the time that CCP barely did something for FW and Wormholes

It’s true that nullsec is in a horrible position and needs to be rebuilt from the ground up mechanically, along with pve in general.

But I’m still pumped

You will care when it starts impacting your bottom line. :smiling_imp:

Pun intended?

You know, vanguard, ground in nullsec, mechanically, like by machine guns, rebuilding null blocks PI

WE WILL REBUILD IT, ONE WARCLONE AT A TIME

Null blocks CSM members (90% of them) will have a stroke (or at least throw a tantrum) if CCP allows it

I might be wrong ofc, they would easily afford to deploy their own vanguards hordes for defense/offense
