Ok…NOW I think Eve is dying

I’m not the one plucking invented problems out of thin air every 5 minutes. Next you’ll be complaining because Amarr toilet paper doesn’t have enough gold in it.

Read your own post and tell me how u r not trolling?

You are accusing me of complaining and inventing probems when i am clearly trying to be constructive. Thats trolling, and you dont even have the guts to admit it

It would appear that anyone who disagrees with your incessant and never ending whining is ‘trolling’.

I believe i have only accused you of trolling so far in this thread despite having interacted with not only you. Its time to admit you are trolling

The icons are coloured to make it easy to find what you’re looking for, you’re going to find that EVE itself is infact, dark and gritty, especially since, you know, space is dark with a general absence of colour in the overwhelming majority of it, going down to barren planets isn’t going to result in you being transported to some city full of nightlife, its going to be dark and its going to look boring, go look at mars and tell me where all the pretty colours you want exist

If you were landing on a populated planet then sure, but vanguards aren’t going to be fighting over those lol

The pictures from the surface of mars are more interesting than the environments CCP has shown so far from Vanguard. This may be a matter of personal opinion. But i hope we can agree pictures from mars are not dark and gritty.

Looks pretty much the same to me, you’re forgetting that a big giant ship on fire makes things appear darker, that being said, i’m fine with them staying with the dark and gritty, stays in line with dust

If you want a happy bright cartoony FPS might i suggest team fortress 2 or overwatch 2

I bet rocks on Mars are sad, like not only are you a rock, but you are on the wrong planet.

Now i have to wonder why play a game if its just going to be like another game?

And even if you are doing a mission or war on a barren planet you are still going to have the infrastructure required for this war. There WILL be structures. There WILL be an environment or “EYE CANDY”

This is what the beaches of normandy looked like when the allies first arrived

Someone even colorized it

Because its going to be like the other games they already made, its almost like the EVE universe has an already defined aesthetic or something, crazy i know

And in a war you will want those structures to not stand out, i guess camouflage is a concept you’re not exactly familiar with, you don’t want things to stand out because that makes them more obvious targets, i mean i’m all for CCP letting YOU have a brightly coloured combat suit and gun, makes it easier for people to see you and send you back to the cloning facility lol

Eve Online is not dark and gritty, Amarr preferr gold, cadari is grey/blue, gallente is green ish, and minmatar is orangeish. There is a diversity of color. Also as i showed with the icons on varying items. They even made the icons “shiny” on top.

But look at Fallout 3 and STALKER the images i provided, they manage to have a diversity of color but still maintain a atmosphere of decay or what not. Its not an accident. And the lack of divesity of color in Vanguard is not an accident either, but it doesent help the game. But we will see

Also as im looking into Vanguard there is this video with 5000 views and he just put this on the screen while he is explaining what the game is about.

And you may say Thats the point! Its supposed to be “dark and gritty”. All the scenery is supposed to look the same. And the question is why? What if players dont like it? I guess they just dont appreciate a good game then

Do Mars at night…

add in smoke from a burning ship and atmosphere. You need to keep things in similar conditions when comparing.

Here are some more pics from Vangaurd that you didn’t add in, all with color!

Now let’s see where the goal post shifts…

I think the Greed is Good article compared the $70 cosmetic thingamabob to a pair of $1000 blue jeans from some Japanese designer brand or something like that

Maybe it is because capsuleer clones, and (probably modified) Jovian warclones don’t have the same exact tech in them, and (I’m assuming) that warclones have to train combat skills, but because the type of combat is so different, it requires different hardware, so you can’t safely and efficiently transfer the consciousness of a capsuleer into a warclone body

In simpler terms: the capsuleer consciousness/brain data is not compatible with the warclone hardware, and training the warclone combat skills into a capsuleer clone doesn’t work, and making it compatible is too expensive of a project for the four empires, and there isn’t a real need for us pod people to go running around shooting guns when there are other clone people that are made specifically for that purpose, and have the combat skills needed.

Nooo ! You’ve got to whine and whinge at least 10,000 more times before Vanguard comes along to add to a game for which you have zero sign of activity since 2017.

As much as I love CP2077, it seems to me that the heavy push on aesthetics is slowly steering the game towards becoming more like a Cyberpunk culture icon then an engaging gameplay experience.

I know CDPR is mainly focused on the single-player experience and without multi-player you can’t expect anything different, but nowadays I would prefer a well-planned tactical FPS integrated within the EVE Universe instead of a badass and good looking FPS with useless gameplay.

Seems to me that kind of games end up slowly dying, take for example the CQC Arena in Elite Dangerous, very good looking and fun…but nobody is playing it.
