Okay let me get this straight - you wish that the orca design to be changed from what is because someone - spent time and resources to train alt’s , get the ships, fit them out and multi-box with 20+ Orca’s?
Well if I had the time and resources to do that, I sure would, but I don’t also I don’t complain about someone who can does this.
If someone wants to spend their real time, resources and game time doing something they enjoy, which doesn’t really affect other players, because the resources in question replenish after a time. Heck that is their choice.
Unfair? well sure if you look at it from a players point of view, who just turned up to mine the same resource. But then you can simply move out and go somewhere else.
So I disagree with changing the Orca, it serves its purpose for most of us. Why shouldn’t an industrial command ship be able to mine?
basically you don’t offer a decent case for your ‘complaint’

Unreliable due to travel time.
But the afk friendly nature of orcas makes them scale better than barges.
Use 5 barges or 20 orcas?
It’s irrelevant. We’re talking about AFK mining. Presumably the mining is done after traveling, heh.
Also if you’re mining ice you just stay in that one system, which will be 0.5 and possibly have moon belts as well.
This “travel time” is just a red herring.
Unless you’re referring to drone travel time which is also just a trifle and a nitpick, as well as being very beside the point. That point being that AFK activity is bad.
Rocks are also sufficiently large enough the you can either park the Orca right on it, or find rocks close enough and assign 1 drone per rock.

depends on the fit and the implants. With michii and highwall+ boost, 5 mining drone II ; ignore tank for covetor/hulk (they can’t anyhow), add tank for others.
hulk : 65.8 m³/s with T2 mining augs
covetor : 54.2m³/s higgs+webifier+nozzle to remain aligned.
skiff yield : 49.1 m³/s with 83k ehp
mack yield : 46.1 m³/s, 33k ehp
skiff tank : 42.8m³/s with 138k ehp. (non overloaded lol)
mack tank : 39.7 m³/s, 59k ehp
procurer : 33.4 m³/s, 76k ehp
orca : 24.3 m/s, 400k ehp

I didn’t crop the image like that, you did. You can see it’s minmatar space from the original picture, not the one you cropped. Someone also did a locator on the orcas and posted their location almost immediately after this post was made, back near the top.

Anyhow, I got what I wanted.
Or if the forum isn’t very well moderated, or doesn’t have rules to keep the quality of posting up to what you would consider an acceptable level. This one appears to be the latter (for an example of the former I would point you toward the official BioWare forums, if they still existed).
I have a suggestion for where you might go to find better interactions.
If you want high-quality moderation I might suggest Spacebattles.com. There are some EvE players there and you can probably get a good debate/argument going if you want, but be warned: disagreeing with someone is fine - even encouraged - but keep your bile restrained or the mods will smack you for it. Just read the forum rules, stay (relatively) civil and avoid fallacious argumentation, and you should do just fine.
That’s actually great and I prefer that over an environment like this one.

CONTEXT.
133 minutes MINIMUM meaning ZERO travel time ZERO interruptions ZERO interaction with locking fresh rocks etc.
ANYBODY who has mined in ANYTHING will tell you that kind of situation DOES. NOT. HAPPEN.
Using T2 mining drones and a fully drone fit Orca will get those things moving at 1500m/s IF YOU ARE FULLY SKILLED.
1500m/s around a spod rock X km wide introduces travel time lag as mining drones orbit the rock they’re mining.
Seriously, you sound like someone who knows dick about drone mining.

sorry, using 24 alts is not soloing. Using 1 alt is soloing.

It’s just a tiny bit less cancerous than farming NPCs literally 24/7 with drones.
