I just found another system with 20+ orcas. 1 Orca on each roid, for every roid present. Looks like they all belong to 1 person. Caldari space this time.
Orca is meant to be a mining support vessel. And yet we have large fleets of only Orcas mining.
Would you mind taking screenshots with the complete system name clearly visible?

I really believe that blocking people isn’t a good solution.
In the end they’re still abusing the platform.
The only person I’m blocking right now, for idk how many months, is Dom Arkanal on the wardec discord. He’s a whiny bitch who can’t get over literally anything and despite having seen pictures of him, I believe he’s actually a stereotypical USAmerican female teenager.
It’s kind of an award to be so bad that I’m actually going to block you.
Though, to be fair, those who get blocked don’t really have any power around here anyway. It’s all just senseless screaming and I’m kind of ashamed of myself for still biting into the bait every now and then, but I’ve significantly improved in that regard and just stopped answering them unless I feel it’s really necessary … and then, I guess, I just bit the bait again.

Yet per the figures posted abo e those orcas are producing 50% or less what barges could be.
They are taking a massive yield cut for the tank and convenience.
If someone is prepared to sacrifice yield for tank and convenience why shouldn’t they be allowed to do so.

solo mining my orca pulls in more than my mack over time due to not docking all the time and i have more tank. i tested it during last decembers event and just ended up mining the ore in my orca because in the same time of an hour i ended up with more.

There are several COSMOS sites in Kador region (the pentagram of 0.5 systems). They are permafarmed by same guy over a 2 years by now. I mean, he was there every day from DT to DT farming with drones and several MTUs 2 years ago, when I returned to eve he was still there (though not sure if the same character/player as I did write down the person, but someone is definitely permafarming it. Wanted to go there and shoot his MTUs but it is locked on some key so I gave up.
Either way regarding this and that thread, there are two issues in my opinion:
#1 Massive multiboxing used in various activities or rather the fact that multiboxing scales so well. Each account will give you more profit/more power/w/e else you are using them for.
#2 Orca being too safe. It is now even 200mil cheaper than year ago. The anti-gank fit costs just few milions (which is another reason why nobody wants to gank them, loot will be minimal). Their tank is just too enormous for most ganking groups to handle. Even if someone paid me to suicide some Orca I would not have the numbers to do it. Not without subbing 8 more accounts.
You can agree that it doesn’t matter. That the afk miners (whether it is Orca or Skiff or w/e) doesn’t mine that much compared to nullsec mining in Rorquals. You can argue that when someone worked hard enough he deserves the right to play as many accounts as he wants.
In the end, both things are just deterring newer players. Massive multiboxing everywhere, afk Orcas everywhere. It is not healthy gameplay.
Of course, the another argument is that such players would not stayed anyway, right? That we don’t need new players and everything is fine.
And vicious cycle begins again.

This is bunk and here’s why:

If you have enough plex for 20 accounts then good for you, and if you choose to use those plex to add 20 orcas to the eve verse then they are content for players to shoot at, if you can’t kill an orca by yourself then recruit others…that is what this game is about, the social aspects, but if your upset about wanting a near billion isk ship to be squishy enough for you to solo it then that’s a fail on your part.

Logic would say that 20 plex could get anyone so much ore that there is no reason to mine it, and by mining it instead of buying it they are literally taking TIME and the fact that they are AFK is none of your business, this is what they choose to do, if you can’t solo the ship kill some drones instead, believe me if you gank a few drones it would annoy that AFK player.
It is not for other’s to be at their keyboard for your amusement, it is as others say a sandbox, you must choose how to go about building your monument.
That’s because solo mining you have no boosts. Duo mining a Mack plus Orca will mine significantly more than 2 Orca will. And fleet wise 18 Mack plus Hauler plus Orca is going to beat the pants off 20 Orca.
