I think it would be a great addition to the UI to introduce a dedicated, resizable “Look at Target” window operating in a Picture-in-Picture (PiP) style.
This window would automatically lock onto and zoom in on your currently selected target, displaying the detailed 3D model of their spaceship in real time. Just like any other UI element in EVE, players should be able to freely resize it and position it anywhere on their screen.
A feature like this would highly elevate the value of ship SKINs and give EVE’s incredible visual design the spotlight it deserves. Right now, we mostly get to appreciate the beautiful details of these hulls during downtime or warp, whereas this window would bring that gorgeous graphics engine front and center right during the heat of battle
