Did you miss me xD
I missed you alot <33
Yes sir!
Trust me, you absolutely donāt.
Waitā¦ Isnāt that a second warning?
Actually, he gave three warnings.
Also, interestingly enough, apparently this one was mulling it over before making the commitment, as I managed to find this when taking a look inside P&P:
Anyway, I better start saving up my pennies for a Fortizar for Leeās lemmings to shoot (good corp name, actually). I mean, an Astrahus or an Athanor or something would be much quicker and more accessible, but Lee wonāt settle for anything less than a large.
Will looking to have a good fight
Good night xD
Once again, I am already war-eligible.
You donāt have to degrade yourself further by begging someone you outnumber 1,000 to 1 to launch a structure for you to destroy without any resistance.
But you probably will degrade yourself further anyway. Because, well, youāre you.
Sheās paying Safety billions, toā¦ermā¦gank 4 of the 200 ships AO lost in the past week. I think she should demand a refund.
Maybe notā¦but thatās more due to how much I am prepared to spend on a game than how much I could do. There comes a point where oneās āgame honourā is not worth the cost. It is just a game, after all. Suffice to say that the odd billion or more is not a problemā¦and one really does not need billions to be effective.
That kind of sounds like a low-key brag about being wealthier than I am in real life. Which very well could be, considering I come from a poor Eastern European family, and have only recently entered the work force. But if thatās your angle, then youāre not really the honorable individual as the one you portray yourself to be.
On a fundamental level, players can be divided into these three categories: content creators, content consumers, and content abstainers.
Players like Aiko and me are content creators. We make interesting things happen, and provide other players with things to do.
Most players are content consumers, and are the ones who show up for gangs or mining ops. They basically do what theyāre told, which isnāt so much a judgement of their character as it is a consideration for community-organizing efforts. Most people will be followers (which isnāt to say theyāre necessarily introverted or anything along those lines), and thatās perfectly fine.
Finally, we have the group that consists of players like Dracvlad, Epeen, and various other fly-by-night forum rage-posters who never do anything interesting, but always find time to complain about other players. These are the players whoād just like everyone to leave them alone so that they can mine ice or grind their empire standings in peace, and will only respond to content (usually negatively) when itās forced upon them, regardless of whether the content is positive (e.g. being invited to some kind of activity) or negative (e.g. getting ganked) in nature.
You, personally, are walking the fine edge between content consumer and content creator. You act like you want to be a content creator, but you donāt want to commit to it and/or expose yourself to the dangers associated with such a play style (and Iām not just talking about having your ship destroyed in a PvP fight here). Youāre going to have to think about what it is you truly want to do in this game.
People are not one āorā the other. Most are a mix of all three. Miners donāt just āconsumeāā¦they also ācreateā the very material necessary to build Aikoās ships.
As for corporation mining fleets, they exist more for protection than for people ādoing what they are toldā. You have this weird notion of a corp like AO being like a Borg hiveā¦when that is much more Aikoās domain. Most people in AO are doing their own thing most of the time. I mine, go ratting, ete, etc, all without anyone telling me to. I guarded a gate against Aikoās lotā¦but that was my own undertaking, nobody ātoldā me to.
You have a rather warped view of what constitutes ācontent creationā. The mere act of logging in creates content. I am a name in someoneās Local. Undocking creates contentā¦I become a ship that can be shot at. You have this bizarre view that content is only created by wardeccers or gankersā¦but wardeccers and gankers are merely destroying content others have created in the first place.
To my mind, every single thing that affects Eve in any way is content. Undocking from a hub with a load of Neutron blasters is content, especially with all the gankers about. Selling those blasters is content tooā¦especially when I sell them in places where the prices is 50% higher.
As for thinking about what I want to do in the gameā¦I am already doing what I want to do in the game. How many other 5 month old noobs can get Aiko or yourself so worked up ? I figured, the day I joined Eve, that the #1 weapon is not a Titanā¦it is the mind.
No its a brag about being sensible with what little money I do have. Iām not gonna spend money on a game that ought to be spent getting the carās brakes fixed.
Bite us
I think you might be somewhat confusing ācontentā with ācontents.ā Putting stuff on the market isnāt the type of ācontentā we discuss when talking about player-generated content. Anything that can be outsourced to a simple NPC function isnāt āplayer content.ā Content is what canāt be duplicated with a few lines of code, which is how real, live human beings interact with you.
This doesnāt have anything to do with wars or ganking. Content creation can come in many forms, and can be completely non-violent in nature.
Yes, we are each otherās content. But the bulk of the share of creation doesnāt come from your side, and this is qualified and quantified by the reasons and amount of time spent behind our gameplay. While a good portion of your time might be spent engaging in AG, āchasingā the gankers, et cetera, on the other side of the equation, they usually donāt even notice or recognize your name. At this point in time, you are much more of a consumer than a creator, although you seem to aspire to be the latter, which is a good thing.
Then why bring it up and brag about it?
Cilly reminds me of Dracvlad.
Lots of boasting, with no ingame activity.
What ifā¦the secret hidden mainā¦isā¦
Ohā¦I thought this was the General Eve Bragging thread. I hadnāt realised I was excluded from the bragging.
Ahhhh, bless his ickle wittle heart.
He gave only one warning, but now itās up to three.
I love it when carebears try to be all tough on the forums. Especially when they make alts named āgiving ONE warningā to hide their super sekret main behind.
But not being noticed is the whole idea. I donāt want people to notice that Iām transporting loads of stuff about. I have a well planned method of getting stuff from the hubsā¦I donāt go there shouting ā hey everyone its me again '. I use a whole bunch of tactics to not be noticed. And thus far it works very well.
