I hope some of you pro´s are fast enugh to come up with a decent pve fit for the Praxis I love doing L3´s in Gnosis would be nice to use Praxis for L4´s but I got no clue on what I should fit shall I go armor or shilde tank auto canons or artillery with drones. Yes that what I can use T2 mediums and small and t2 heavy´s and t1 large projectiles traning for t2 but it will take about 20 days.

LMJP toward NPC so you get into 70-80 km distance. Drop MTU. Launch drones. Keepdrones on small targets and missiles on large. Watch the NPC hit points. As soon as they are nearely out of armor, switch launchers to next big targets and have drones on it to finish it. Otherwise you will lose DPS because RHML are very quick and your last missile volleys will head to the dead NPC.
Hardeners are also to be switched to meet mission NPC damage profile.

The Praxis is OK considering it’s a give-away ship…CCP just screwed everyone on CPU. PvE should be fine in it but for PvP it can be a tight fit is you want 1200+ dps, 65 ehp with an active shield boost of like 1400-1800 a cycle depending on skills, boosters and clone bonuses etc.
Decent fits for both uses will filter through soon enough. Plenty will soon be lost and turn up on Zkill…haha.

The best fit for a Praxis is a Rattlesnake.
In all seriousness, if you’re not using three of the C3-X ‘Hivaa Saitsuo’ Ballistic Control System for missiles/drones you’re fitting it wrong. This is also a shield boat (or at least you should be fitting it as a shield setup).

Plenty of pg for armor fits. Which Also allows you to fit alot of application mods. Stop forcing it to be one thing while it can be many more.

To each their own, but I found it was tight just getting a half decent shield fit with a MWD. You can also get more DPS, damage application and maneuverability with a shield fit (the one I played with was doing 1210 DPS out to a range of 100km+ before implants).
Agreed about the shield and how that can work with damage mods, though armor could work. Regarding the C3-X, if you’ve got the cash for it, absolutely. Lots of interesting ways to pimp this out (I also agree about the RS).
However, it’s interesting that you can get fairly good results even with relatively cheap fits.

Falls slightly below the rattlesnake in all respects. But it is more flexible, if I concentrate it as a missle boat for example, it does absolutely awesome. The total potential DPS falls, but actual application skyrockets and still has slots left over for utility.

I don’t get why people want to be a missile-ship AND a shield ship.
Both eat a lot of CPU.
And then, you add in the drones… even more CPU.
And then, you mjd off for sniper fit. Guess what MJD uses ?

I’ve been a L4 mission runner for a long time. So I played around with some fits for the Praxis trying to use the mods I like. I like missiles and shields. Because of it’s CPU I, as others, have found the Praxis difficult to fit.
This is what I have so far:
Rigs:

6 x Cruise Launchers T2 (fury missiles) 944dps, 7626 volley

I also did a side by side comparison to a similar Raven fit.
The Praxis actually looked a little better, and it had 1500 more on missile volley.
Too bad the Praxis didn’t get a better CPU.

You actually get better returns using two of the C3-X and then standard T2 amps for both missiles and drones for a total of 4 low slots used because of the factor of diminishing returns if you are trying to maximize your damage.
I’ve figured out a fit where an alpha clone can get 1200+ out to 55km and Omega pilots are getting 1350+ out past 73km. Does end up requiring a 3% CPU implant though.

Flexibility, you can run far more content with it. Carry all types of ammo + omni tank, don’t need to refit between sites, don’t need to watch what rat types you go against etc. It saves a ton of time not having to do that.

The important part is in caps.
IMO the best reason for MISSILES is that RHML have very low SP requirement for the damage they put, and are available to alphas.
However I don’t get why going missiles AND shield is more flexible than going missiles AND armor. look at the RHML fit I gave.
(It has too many cap modules, you can drop two cap rechargers for a cap injection, and a CCC for another armor module)

Why so many CPU mods?
-because to use the mods I wanted to use.
Better returns on BCUs?
-a 4th BCU is like having a 5% implant. The Caldari really help on fitting, (and damage).
Alpha getting 1200+ ?
-please show the fit, this I gotta see.
Missile and shield ship?
-I like running Caldari ships, some use missiles and shields.
If I run armor, I loose out on the BCUs in the lows.
Please, some veterans really do know what we’re doing, but thanks anyway.
In conclusion, after using the Praxis in a couple of L4s, I was greatly unimpressed! I took it back to the station, and got a Raven to finish the last one. It does much better.
The Praxis sucks on targeting range, it sucks on CPU, it has no missile velocity bonus, and it will be very good for an Alpha to lose very quickly.
