CIG probably needs more money for their secret quantum computed server development aswell since only a supercomputer could host their servers and not crash with an online playerbase 10% that of Eve flying their 1000$ ship assests. When someone says theywant to deliver the best experience to the high end user only and spends 90% of their resources on art and fancy demos… 100 star systems and they have what, a few planets and asteroids done in 7 years? seriously.

They also made a successful MMORPG.
Majority of studios go through dozens of failed and cancel projects. If it was easy to make a successful game, we’d all be millionaires.

I KNOW i’m right in evrything i say and i KNOW that some cannot comprehend this…but this is not my problem but theirs…

Also, instead of basing his operations somewhere semi-cheap for game dev salaries (like say Austin or Dallas, Texas), he freakin’ set up shop in San Francisco, which is heading to a more expensive place to live than NYC within our lifetime… What hubris, what greed.
But hey, people keep shoveling money at him. Whales, am I right?
Or if game development and publishing was still operating like PC gaming did in the 1990s. Ah, the glory days. Make your money on DLC packs instead of MTX and crowdfunding and then never delivering. And all the failed games… well, we didn’t have to hear about them or alpha/beta test them for 10 years first!
Seagull seemed to have some creative vision. I’m not sure the things she wanted to get done were all gonna get done, but if even half of them had (hey… player-built stargates when?)… that might not have been too bad.
