The Best defence against scammers and gankers is one thats also great and used in reality it’s called Comon Sense, just cause something looks like a good deal doesn’t mean it is

OK, there are so many things wrong with this that I just assume it’s a lie. First of all scamms in rookie help are not allowed. Second WTH do you want to scam a 3 day old rookie out of? His precious Atron?

I’ve often wondered that same thing, yet 3 day old rookies get scammed and ganked all the time.
RL good people role playing sociopaths? Or RL sociopaths taking advantage of lax rules? Does it even matter to the poor rookie?

Though I agree with you, I still don’t think it would have helped him. I think it’s that such large numbers just become abstractions in his mind. Not something he can just brush up on or easily work around, I would think. He was only so motivated to play, ya know?
Still no need to let the minority(PVP) decide what all others(PVE) had to do by beeing able to force the way they look upon game to the majority…
Simply lock them out from high and all are happy…the minority will be able to continue their precious strange hobby in low and 0.0 and EVERYBODY that enters low and 0,.0 will know the risk but those who DO NOT WANT PVP in any form have their save place…
It’s simply not reasonable why this status quo was given to this game in first place…and it’s about time to correct this error…

There is difference between dyslexia and dyscalculia. Proper font and alignment helps with the former. The latter can’t really be helped - or at least I have no clue how one would go about doing it.

Also the main loss of players to ‘ganking/wars’ is probably not people who actually lose ships.
It’s people who look at the mechanics which say industrial ships are simply in the game to be targets for gankers, that to compete with gankers they have to have an alt account, and keep to a whole bunch of arbitrary limits, and even if you do all of that a ganker can still gank you if they feel like it.
And decide that they have better things to do with their time than play a rigged game.
People who can learn from their mistakes are probable exceptions? Do you imply that other people are complete idiots?

It’s ok to be GANKED… the problem is people who are ass… trying to misled rookies into error, giving false information or just attracting them into traps. And yes CODE involved
Then education is the need, not banning pvp from hisec as the other bears suggest. We need a better NPE explaining navigation tricks like MWD cloak trick and others, and a course about scamming. Not a stupid NPE that teach you to use the autopilot…
