Many in our community are in the same position Mina.
Precisely, so not nothing then aeā¦
that is a matter of opinion.
Wouldnāt adding the extra materials required for producing ships not be adding content from existing? Opens the door for even more undocking and trading or even fighting over control of planets etc.
So not nothing then ae, you just donāt like the updates.
Just a lot of personal opinions, which yes is shared by many maybe but most likely not the majority.
Iāve got these 2 massive Cruisers
Can i have your stuff?
I do not know if you were directing this at me but I should set the record straight.
I actually have no problem with the price increase and have suggested (with an emphatic caveat) looking into the bulk options as alternatives.
Iām also gainfully employed as well.
They donāt tend to get picked up, it drops to maintenance mode
Two words for those crying about the lack of new contentā¦
DOCTOR FREAKING WHO!
If space scarves and flying phone booths arent enough for you complainers than NOTHING ever will be!! Fix your attitude!
Also, to any devsvreadung this, please make the Doctor a regular part of the universe, and consider doing a Marvel Comic Universe crossover next. You can tease it by adding the planet Krypton from Superman. That would be great!
I think content to these people means easy ISK farms or kills.
Name em
Just as long as Nightcrawler is part of the crossover, otherwise forget itā¦ well, ok, and Thor too.
As the old Cypher said:
āSomeone up there loves meā¦ā
The fact that this thread has survived the EYE, means someone up there agrees with it.
I guess the gods donāt see a future in two things: The kind of people that pays real money and the price being paid for such blasphemy to keep on going.
Oh, and no. I donāt think the increase would ever reflect on better content, as the concept is relative. But if one asks about the game style mostly related to those who pay real money, it gets worse!
I think those who pay are exactly the ones less cared for recently (4 years already), soā¦ itās not gonna happen.
This protest makes no sense for me. There are a couple of reasons why:
- The price bills are set by investors and their financial departments. Looks like the investors donāt like to share a bit of their income with the client base. CCP staff have little impact on it (especially CCP devs).
- New price ratios are set to compensate for the current inflation, energy bills and other expenditures.
- Iām not sure, but due to known financial sanctions, thereās a very high risk that many players from Russia will not be able or will not continue the Omega subs. Maybe there are other payment systems there to go around it.
CCP made a clever move to dodge the current economic irl issues. Based on their āNew Omega tiers at 2 months and 24 months will be introducedā price lists, they want to keep the main player base via long-term subscriptions. So it makes sense to subscribe for 6 months at least, but for a 24 months sub youāll pay only $11.29 per month (itās on 34Ā¢ more than the current annual sub). The same is for PLEX. So, 20 000 PLEX will cost $650 or 3.2Ā¢ per PLEX, compared to the current 2.6Ā¢ per PLEX for 15 400 PLEX.
Therefore, thereās a big difference between scenarios when you pay $19.99/month for a few months and a scenario when youāll pay for years even for multiple accounts.
Thatās fine, thatās their money and Iām sure theyāve earned it.
Iām in the same position, I donāt want to share a bit of my income with the investors. So they can keep theirs and I can keep mine.
Yeah, as if we didnāt have those as well. No, us players donāt pay taxes and arenāt affected by events around the world, weāre somehow immune.
Andā¦? I fail to see how that is any of my concerns. I didnāt vote or ask to exclude the Russians from our financial system. Thatās their deal, not mine.
I always wondered if the Dr had a middle name.
The revenue loses which should be compensated somehow. Overall, I donāt think that this will cause a huge exodus. Unsubscribe tendency happens due to other irl factors. Probably a small part of player base will go Alpha mode, considering many of them have over 20M SP.
EVE is a commercial project. Investors donāt want to lose iskies, you donāt want to lose iskies, then itās a good reason to shutdown this forum and stop expenditures on it.
Yes āsomehowā. But Iāll make sure itās not on my wallet.
Here is a great idea!
His middle name is the dot between āDrā and āWhoā.
River Song knows.
Itās comical that people think players will join a game, and pay $20/month to grind away for a year to be remotely competitive in PvP.
Itās even more comical that a player would join the game, and pay $20/month to mine, which is where many new players start.
Add to that FTP, and CCPās actual income has clearly dropped precipitously.
Do people really think raising prices will solve that?
Iāve been gone from this game for a long time, I decided to try it again, due to boredom, and access the all the assets I acquired while living in Delve with BoB.
Current numbers in the game are maybe 35%-40% of the heyday of of this game. Lowsec is a deadzone, with dangerous places like Rancer empty on a Friday night.
Apparently parts of 0.0 are dead as well.
Whatās the long term plan? Is CCP going to shrink the universe to make it not look so empty?
