Giving PvP more shine’s was was i believe right in the update description, or at least in the CSM responses, i don’t remember which off the top of my head, but that was documented
I realize the CSM’s are not CCP, and clearly, they did this for the benefit of attacters
. By placing an ante in the core of every structure in space, the amount of structure spam will be reduced. The incentive and reward for attacking structures will be increased and the chance of both sides showing up to fight is also increased.
That is right out of the update description
You arent gonna get fights if indies dont defend their stuff
Indies dont defend anything thats not profitable to them
Ergo only stations with cores in while competition shuts down around them will be defended and generate fights.
Unless you actually believe there will be an increase of non indy station holders vs non indy station holders?
Null not withstanding.
There will probably be a brief increase as big wardec corps eat small wardec corps, who also won’t show up to defend vs 5 times their number, and will probably just join the big corp after anyway.
Yeah prolly but not a long term increase, and not of the scope I take CCP to mean.
That said, they seem to be saying its strategic spam thats their target not incidental spam.
Which leads me to wonder why its blanket.
-
Oh I agree, not a long term increase.
-
Because how do you differentiate, and the same principle applies at any scale of allowing defenders to lock a system down, without needing to have to bash the structure the second it becomes vulnerable.
Eh I could think of a few ways tbh.
Suffice to say Id say anything to get out of paying for this new tax.
I can tell you right now from experience, yes, some HS indy corps will join a bigger null alliance, but that honeymoon will end very quickly when the game becomes a second job, rather than a fun distraction from RL, then most will give up and quit
I just reread your comments and the subscription fee is NOT at all the only point of entrance for RL money, PLEX’s, Skill Extractors, the SP Packages and I’m sure I’m missing a couple others are also entry points for RL money to game money, not to mention that CCP uses PLEX costs to calculate RL money value to loses in major fleet battles. So there is a direct correlation. Now i get that they use that number to give a scale for an epic battle, but at the same time, they have also established a RL dollar value to in game items
Are bought with plex last I looked. I wasn’t aware any items (Outside the Packages below) could be bought direct with cash.
Ok, I did forget these as a once off thing.
No, there isn’t a RL dollar value to in game items, there is a relatable number used by news outlets for their readers. CCP have not assigned a RL value to assets, you can not cash your assets out legally, so they are actually worth 0.
I dont really give a s**t what CCP considers a dollar value, plex, SP etc, if it costs me RL money directly or indirectly to keep what the EULA and previous rules to the game and game adverts said i can have, then i should be able to keep it, no questions asked. If they make a change to the EULA, then that should affect NEW PLAYERS, NOT ME. Other wise they can bait and switch al they want
The EULA literally says that CCP can change the content of the game. That isn’t a change in the EULA & any EULA change you get the option to decline and request a refund of any game time owing to you (based on how you purchased it obviously).
You clearly haven’t actually read the EULA & ToS if you are trying to invoke them.
Does the EULA specifically say that if i don’t agree to the terms, i can have all of my possession moved to a location of my choosing for safe keeping until a time i agree with the EULA? If it does not, then it is not really an agreement at all
It specifically says none of the in game assets or data are your possessions at all actually.
The only thing that is your possession is your right to have them delete your personal data and subscription refunds if you disagree with an EULA change & press decline on it. (& one other reason you can get a refund as well, I forget what it is, but it’s not “I don’t like the game anymore”).
So… Yeah… you haven’t read the EULA.
Ok that had very little to do with my reply but sure
i’m feeling more and more confident about @Murazor_StarHammer’s and that other guy’s class action lawsuit against CCP with each post he makes.
Thank you, yes, it is very clear that they are benefiting one group of players at the expense (literally) of another, and forcing the victims to foot the bill
I have to admit, Scoots, your previous posts were against my position, im very glad to see that you are reading the arguments with an open mind. FYI, the lawsuit was not my idea, i didn’t even know that was a thing. I’m just trying to argue my case from within current game rules and years of observation
Who reads an EULA, i read the EULA fore OSX Snow Leopard when i was a senior tech for Apple, it was a lot of words that basically said “No you cannot make copies and sell it and we can add/remove features as we see fit”…nowhere did it say we are going to bill you extra to keep the basic functionality that you already paid for
I don’t know, maybe anyone who wants to know what the rules are? Before complaining about them.
