Bro I see orcas mining AFK all the time in high sec LOL.
@ Gix Firebrand And you know they’re afk how? You see an orca sitting there on a rock and immediately know there is nobody controlling it? Do you attempt to chat them all up and they don’t respond? Is there some sort of inactivity light I am unaware of? Please tell me your secret.
This is the same crap that (now ex)CODE has been peddling for years, claiming All miners are “bot aspirant.” I get the RP aspect of their mantra mainly, but I’m a bit tired of the judgmental BS attitude that everybody has towards miners. Just because people like low stress low attention gameplay some times does not make their play styles not worth considering. Particularly considering literally every other aspect of this game depends on said miners.
Bro, you see orcas mining, unless you can see their keyboard you have no clue if they are AFK.
I talk to them in local, send them a mail, send them a private convo and then lock them
No response
I don’t gank in high sec, but please believe people make it so easy LOL.
See above. Thankee for coming to my EVE talk.
Learn to EVE
And because people don’t respond to you, they are not playing eve right?
You got a better explanation? Esp when its said in local that if they don’t respond in a minute I’ll report them for botting and still no response?
I got nothing against mining. But lets not front like there aren’t a ton of orca bots out there, cause there are.
I actually want mining ships buffed in terms of yield and hold and porp/orca/rorq to truly be boost/support ships for mining.
So calm down miner, I don’t want mining nerfed. I simply want it to be less bottable.
I would also like to see ratting in combat sites less bot-able. Honestly, just about everything about this game is technically bot-able were one motivated enough to do so.
Eve has taught players to he weary of strangers. You jump into local, threaten players, lock them, and generally do stuff that would be considered hostile in the real world and you think that people are going to jump for joy at the sight of you and want to have a nice long heart to heart?
Bots will always happen no matter what you do. New World has just come out and it is already overflowing with bots, it is the nature of people to be greedy and want to make more with less effort. Best way to fix that is to locate actual bots and remove them instead of punishing everyone in hopes that you will remove some bots. All that does is makes non-botters want to leave because they get punished for other players misdeeds.
Its a good thing EVE isn’t the real world then huh buddy?
I mean if they can’t even spare a k in local. Ain’t my fault their AFK mining and gonna get the orca boned.
I got nothing against mining. Hell, I liked that other dude’s idea of a mini-game or challenge to boost mining yield and reward at keyboard claim. Or the other dude’s idea that each laser has a hold and you gotta manually move it over to the ore hold
I don’t mine, but if it were me I would ignore you, especially with that kind of threat, I would just assume you were trying to get a rise out of me.
Or checking if botting. So if you don’t respond, you agree you should be reported yes?
I still wouldn’t respond either. Knowledge is power. It’s in my interests for other people to make false assumptions about how I play.
You could report me all day long but nothing would come of it.
Justs wastes your time
And thats your choice. But you can see now why miners get ganked LOL.
Not really, I rarely look at local when in hs it’s full of junk and I don’t reply to anyone who is trying to get a rise from me. So really I would not be supprised if a bunch of the folk you think are bots are actually just chilling out and mining away their evening.
This. This is all we need to know folks.
This is why miners get ganked
I’m not a miner. And you miss-quoted me.
Also I’d like to clarify - I do look at how busy local is and if there are flashy. But the chat - the actual words coming from the population of hs and the bit you are using to check for bots - usually ignored.
Your little procedure is not proof they are AFK. Besides why are you running around ore belts checking on Orca’s? Not a high ISK/HR activity. And since you do that “all the time”, you must be broke. So you come here and…do whatever it is you do. But that makes two “all the times”. When do you actually engage the content? So many of your comments are indicative of someone not actually playing the game.
Still if your statements are true, that you see AFK Orcas “all the time” you should be able to post 30,40,50… pictures of AFK Orcas everyday.
Oof. You tried so hard bruv Ever think that finding the AFK orcs are the content? I was bored and went looking
Got plenty of ISK. I sub only one account and play for fun. I know, such a shock in this day and age huh?
Imagine playing a space vidya game for fun Just grinding the most ISK per hour is only one way to play. I choose to make my own content.
You play for fun you say, yet you seem to spend all your time worried about who does what and how others are playing their game… how fun!!
