Level 1 ark mission i started few days ago, still requires to remove all drones from the area…

Nearly half the metro system in my country/city-state was crippled last evening, so I didn’t have any free time to log in for that by the time I got back from work.

And worse still: You can be best friends with both sides just by shooting drones. Nothing Edencom ever did in empire space matters because the invaders can be best friends with Edencom and Triglavians. This is one of the most garbage features CCP has done in recent times. Where have the difficult choices gone you had to make, according to CCP announcements for C3? Where is their ludicrous explanation why you can be buddy buddy with the invaders and defenders? Edencom remains in high alert for whom? They are now good friends with the former invaders.
Not that I would believe any of the garbled mess that comes from their worthless mouths but I want to see them squirm in trying to come up with an – in their eyes – believable justification for this hot steaming pile of bovine waste.

Then go do the mission?
Just don’t cherry pick it for a week for standings. Do it like normal for missions and move on,
A) After this long, they should always know we will abuse everything we can. We tell them we’re going to abuse their poorly-designed systems, and show them how we’ll abuse it. What on Earth would make anyone think this wouldn’t get abused?
B) CCP has often left little tricks and tweaks like this. You can’t assume anything ‘couldn’t be’ the desired path.

CCP daftness. It runs rampant within CCP and is incurable. It’s also extremely contagious. You contract it the moment you set foot into any of their offices.
Killing drones in k-space doesn’t give you standing. Only killing drone structures will give you this super standing hit (and gain for T/E). So unless this is required by the mission or site, you shouldn’t do it if you have not done it before regularly.

yeah like one of the escalations I think it’s Drone Roulette? You warp in and shoot a sentient warp out, come back after ten minutes and loot the wreck, on to the next site.
In this case I think it was clear (the speed run version), but the bigger issue is imo, that we see again a post-sandbox, post-PvP mindset, where content and the path to it are designed in detail and made grindy on purpose. Everything is designed so, that there is no room for innovation or “clever use”, just one path, by the means of instances, ship restrictions, standing locks, gates, mandatory group PvE.
There is less and less for objective-less PvP-oriented players in the solo, small-scale niche. Outside of artificial sov warfare (you must be really bored, right?) it’s all about group-PvE and instanced PvP.
The new space is a perfect example. It’s Thera-PvP rules, but to get in you have to grind PvE in fleets for months, and then get new exciting content … more PvE and juicy mining sites. How many people in the game are of this demographic? You can’t possibly think about a bigger gate against unwanted PvP.

Some of the new PVE leaves some room for clever use. It probably was intended in the first place, but Offensive Logi during the invasion phase was a big part of the process. You were supposed to repair friendly NPC to make it harder to outright impossible for the opponents to kill them if they did not have enough DPS on grid. And don’t get me started on dragging NPC away from the site beacons and stretch them out over thousands of kilometers so that people could not run the sites at all in timely manner.
The problem here, however, was simply that CCP did not take their own features into account when they setup the reward structure and NPC behavior. A single OLogi could require a lot more than the 3 people on grid to break its repair power, which means you had to put in a lot more work and manpower for a lot less reward.
CCP is just not competent enough to program anything like these things they seemingly want to push us into in a proper fashion without causing a ton of annoyance and frustration.
@CCP_Convict CCP needs to be clear about this. I just left a system where people are telling others in highsec they are reporting them for doing the Drone sites that spawn in high. Most people do not realize this is about the Drone Horde sites in null where you can pop a structure and just move on for quick standing gains going from negative to 7 in like 3 hours.

Well if you’re doing sites or missions and complete them so that site disappears from scan, this should be normal mechanic and not an exploit, as this is the way it has always been done, even I do it like this.
Shooting 1 structure in null sec then moving to next one in 1 second this sounds like exploiting, as you can gain “million” more standings per minute.

Agree… You know that I know that. many more that think further than their noses knows that. Majority not so much because CCP is not being very direct on what the issue is.
Pfft no one will get reprimanded for this. Can you imagibe the pr, I shot a npc and got banned in a mmo. Lel. It’ll get patched out but untill then farm if you want high trig and eden com standing.
This is not exploit, this is bugged normal content. Do you even know what exploit is?
BTW doing small Highsec Drone Anoms also has a huge negative inpact in Drone standings.
Would be funny if you can’t use drones any more when under -5, LOL.
Just looks like someone did the maths wrong, how about reducing the impacts to at least a thenth of the actual values?
