YAY Screw WH guys some more… in fact just make it so we only get 1 rock and it sits on a WH so when the hunters come they dont have to warp to the unscanned ore belt… dude just take WH space out of the game if all your going to do as you have for years is ■■■■ them out of everything. i mean if you are going to take some of the money making ores out of WH space then the LEAST you could do is make it where in j space u gotta scan all ore belts down like gas sites again… kinda ■■■■■■■■ people dont show up in local but can warp right to a belt in wh space…oh but yeah in every other space they show on local before the insta warp on the miners. ccp shoots self in foot… shoots other foot to fix first foot… nice logic o7
I’m not an expert but my guts tell me everything after the citadel patch was BS. So I’d revert all of it But that might be because I started playing around that patch.
They could, dunno, maybe just loot their missions/combat sites and reprocess the loot, since apparently mineral prices will go up and thus the loot will be worth more?
And the reason is simple, you are lazy, you do not want to go out check the game mechanics for yourself,
No - it’s just that I know the game mechanics and you’re claiming something that is 100% false and improbable, so like I said the burden of proof is on you - otherwise everything you say in this thread falls right into the bucket of “absolutely negligible post by someone who knows nothing”. You are, it the utmost irony of your statement, the actual lazy one here failing to support your claims.
hmph, yep whatever dude…
Your tears are delicious, please keep reaching.
Because they call it rebalance, when what they mean is a nerf.
I don’t know what ccp is thinking, because he systematically shoots his feet.
Now the greats will invade HS to maintain their tritanium borage.
By the way, no one is going to mine low, no matter how hard ccp tries.
It may be time to park the ships for good.
Couldn’t agree more. But it’s not to overly critique them…there is simply no way to accurately predict the impact of this substantial of a change on the game.
Can we just go back to pre-anom belt mining and have random spawn ore anoms that are required to be hunted down and scanned like the good ole days when people had to put in effort to mine decent materials?
as a loyal customer of this game since 2010 i feel ccp should listen to all there customers no one wants these changes no one asked for these changes you have increased the cost to pay for the game in real life cash now made extensive changes making it even more expensive to fly ships in game if in any business your customers voice concerns over the changes why persist in doing them if its only to get more revenue for the business be clear say so then players would understand but to say this is to create a better eve is total trash
CCP doesn’t want WH’s. WH’s are basically Null Sec for people who don’t want to live in Null (believe me, my corp has been in Null a few times, it sucks). As i said before CCP wants a Red vs Blue game with big explosions. It seems that their vision is just a war game where players choose a side and blast each other. Player based indy or economy has no more place for them
Well, ■■■■ with their nerfs
no more $$$ for you I did not mine to pay the plex I used to mine to buy navez and lose the omega I paid with my card but that is over big ccp big
I’ll accept your resignation from this thread and gladly hold up my victory trophy as you have muttered the synonymous phrase of the debate’s loser:
Your tears are delicious, please keep reaching.
Thank you for admitting defeat, it saves everyone time!
I have a feeling the Twitch stream happening in 3 hours is going to be very, very aggressive by the community.
Sure you can, where ever you go to mine, you will get ganked, unless you are part of a big alliance that can send a security force in first to secure the area and then babysit the miners. Big alliances win again, small groups of casual players take it up the flash-pipe
BRING BACK THE SANDBOX
Well I made the mistake of thinking this was a Redistribution Phase that would bring fun and opportunity back to the game and I'm so disappointed in the decision to leave Highsec, high and dry', yet again. I really don't get it, I'm an ore miner and I build T1 ships, I'm not ISK rich, I like to mine in highsec, I hate gankers and I don't live in null, I'm happy with my lil world and buddies in highsec, now wtf are we supposed to do?
You've completely taken away EVERYTHING I like to do in eve and that is fun for me.
Redistributing all of the minerals so that no-one can build even t1 ships from high sec ores is the wrong decision. I'm left wondering why am I putting my hard earned money every month into multiple accounts when every time I find my niche in this game, my gameplay gets completely destroyed and overlooked.
You have made it VERY clear to me that you and your 'content' friends don't like the way of manufacturing and people that do that at a low level in eve from highsec.
I just like to build ships, once again you give all the good stuff to the null sec guys who already have ALL the isk.
Please bring back the old eve, remember it, it was a sand box where you could do what you wanted and find your way in the universe. That was before you started to control how people play it, it's totally destroyed something with a working market that was a great game.
I would hate to see CCP as gardeners you completely cut off all the roses to the ground and then say, the garden isn't working anymore. Guys stop trying to control everything, bring back the sandbox and just stay the hell out, a little snip here and there is okay but this is really not good for the future of eve.
Who is going to want to play this game now?
I flushed down better choices down the toilet this morning. I know how to fix this game. But your not gonna like it. Fire everyone , and hire some people who are smart. Your counting on new players who spend cash to catch up with Veterans. Your screwing over every person who loved this game. Its really , really sad. I feel a fool spending time playing all these years. I hope you reap the whirlwind.
The Veterans were the ones who taught new players , and who formed groups so people would stay. Your gonna lose any goodwill players had. Its almost like your trying to help The Newer groups in game catch up to the oldest alliances. It was going too slow, so you just started messing up everyone’s game. I know, you thought this was your game. It doesn’t belong to you. It belongs to the players.
I literally LOVED this game and your ruining it with every choice. At least make a roadmap so we can see what the “END” goals are with all these changes. And I read what you put down in the past already, and I don’t believe it for a second.
What amazed me is you do this while there are literally hundreds of space games being made as we speak. Are you trying to FAIL?
Well, since you replied to the thread and not any particular person in it…
I’d address it by addressing the factors that caused the explosion in assets in the first place. There’s 3 main ones.
-
Accretion. Economies are never perfectly balanced. Doesn’t happen. So either you’re accreting (getting more stuff) or depleting. Depletion is bad for a game like EVE over the long term, because it means you wind up with nothing to shoot people with. Accretion’s also bad over too long a term, because it’s an accelerating process. I mine X/hr with a Venture, get myself into a Procurer, and mine vastly more. If I’m not losing those ships, my wealth will snowball: the more I have to invest in making money, the more money I’ll make, faster.
-
Greed. In this case, CCP’s. The Rorqual overhaul was done in such a way as to maximize the amount of real-world dollars CCP could get over a short period of time, by selling not only the PLEX to get more rorq accounts, but the PLEX needed to get skill extractors so people could skill up into Rorqs by farming SP (on still more accounts they were PLEXing).
CCP was told, repeatedly and in no uncertain terms, that the Rorqual changes they were planning were simply too effective, and would flood the economy with cheap minerals. However, they refused to change course, with Fozzie openly saying ‘we can just dial them back later’. Of course, doing that is… difficult, because as soon as you ‘dial back’ a buff, it’s a nerf, and people get very mad about getting nerfed. Nobody likes losing stuff they worked/paid for.
This is why responsible game developers are extremely careful about what they buff, and by how much. It’s always better to open things up slowly over time than to open the floodgates and then try closing them again. -
Stagnation. Yes, there’s a war in nullsec. So what? Once you factor out the structures, whose value should be amortized over the multiple years they existed, destruction in Fountain last month—which is where the bulk of the destruction in the war has happened—was down, year-over-year. Big war, while prices have gone up, but the ISK value of destruction is down. That means the amount being destroyed (not the value of it) is down even more. CCP’s planned methods for ‘making fights bloodier’ is backfiring spectacularly, because CCP doesn’t have the first clue why fights aren’t bloodier.
So how do you address those?
-
Addressing Accretion: First, you need the overall economy to be cyclic. You need a boom/bust cycle, and this… isn’t that. Could this be a step toward that? Maybe. But right now, it doesn’t look like it, and CCP isn’t communicating their vision for the end result at all, which is part of what’s producing these threads full of vitriol. COMMUNICATE, CCPlease. Communicate with the players. Communicate with the guys YOU HAVE US VOTE FOR, so they can advocate patience the way they normally do.
-
Addressing CCP Greed: Well, just fekking deal with your own avarice, CCP. Enough with the shell-games. Fix Rorquals. My thoughts on how to do that are up-thread.
-
Addressing Stagnation: Step 1: learn why fights aren’t bloodier. Here’s a hint: YOU MUNGED UP FLEET DESIGN.
Seriously now, most large fights right now center on 3 types of fleets: battlecruisers w/T1 logi, Battleships w/T2 logi, and HACs w/T2 logi. All 3 of these have one thing in common: The main DPS ship, the most common ship in the fleet… is the tankiest ship in the fleet. So nobody shoots the main body of the enemy. They shoot the logi. They shoot the support. They nibble around the edges of the fleet until one side is forced to withdraw… with like 75% of the fleet still intact. @wheeeeeeee. So bloody.
You want that fight to be bloody? Make the DPS ships more breakable. Make it so the easiest thing to kill is the most common ship in the fleet. Poof, instant bloodbaths, because people will kill the most common ship in the fleet.
So, yeah, that’s how I’d change it.
Apparently not well enough, if you think 1200 hours is 16 hours.
I want to know which ignorant developer thinks players who make T1 frigates are going to mine in low?
Clearly CCP has what is called a “Design Bully”.
A design bully is someone who has bad ideas, but then forces them through the pipeline using bully tactics.
This is the only way so many really super bad ideas could make it past peer review.
The last 2 years have been just a tragic comedy of bad ideas. From instanced PvE to having instanced PvP with a PvE queue (Classic), can’t forget trigs killing newbie miners, can’t forget the ECM target back. Trig invasion.
Find and fire the bully before the COVID vaccine because that is the only reason anyone is playing this game anymore.
