Your name is familiar. Did you live in Black Rise?
I have a decision to make.
I run a lowsec trade station geared for pvpers. I stock ships, modules and ammo all myself, some 300 or so orders. Iāve got 13b invested into it.
Do I keep the orders on market, and try to keep up with changing prices to reflect the higher prices in Jita? Or do I pull everything down, wait a few months, then put it back up? I honestly donāt know.
āAll Fullerite quantities at all sites will increase by 100%.ā
Huge buff to gas huffing that was already incredibly lucrative and new player friendly. Why spend half a year and billions of isk on a roq? 20 days will MAX your venture skills and a full hold of gas is worth more than the ship. If you find an instramental you could get hundreds of millions of isk from it. Its like the BEFORE this patch goes though.
āThe spawn probability of all Fullerite gas sites will be reduced.ā this nerf better be significant.
CCp keep in mind we had the age of plenty and now its an age of scarcity. Fair enough. but that age of scarcity needs to be consistent across all areas of space. Seriously when the venture gets more isk/h than a roq you know something is wrong.
Remember that supply vs. demand is a thing. If you want to nerf the ISK/hour of gas mining then you increase the supply of it, driving down the per-unit price. And thatās exactly what a 100% increase in quantity will do. On the other hand, reducing the spawn probability is a buff to the value of those sites.
To add what i wrote upper-I just lost any wish to play in eve and even tho i was planned to buy a 3 mouth sub bcoz i really enjoy this mining and production things, really.I wasted my time to grind standing,to grind isk(to those who sain why you doin this there a super duper meta-i am a casual player and not risky boi at all) to buy t2 mining ship(for future)(and already brought it). Even buy few blueprintsā¦butā¦this decisionā¦ this future updateā¦i give up on thisā¦bloody hellā¦ehhhā¦
Combine it with the other changes. They are rare now but lucrative.
well ccp just made the game a whole lot easier for me, i will stop 8 of the 10 account and start using that money to buy plex sell in game to do my pvp every month, while it seems ccp likes to go into a app game buy diamond to get furrther in the game, lol
Is going to change almost nothing for you. Ignore all the doom & gloom, this will have minimal impact on T2 prices since most of the cost is in moon materials that wonāt be impacted at all.
This is by far the WORST idea I have ever heard. I am sorry but whoever thought of this obviously doesnt actually play the game or mine at all.
Are you going to refund resource harvesting skill points now? Are you ready for the game to come to a grinding halt because no one is going to go to low sec to mine. Try it, get in a covetor, go to low sec and try to mine, lets see how long you last.
Forgot to mention the goals of this patch.
āMore movement in Lowsec - and potentially more destruction
Increase of mining ship losses
More market transactions for ores/minerals
Mineral income from refining items to increase
Prices of minerals to changeā
The changes provided will not make these goals a reality. Its obvious to anyone. Some of these goals are realistic, Mineral price changes and more movement in lowsec will probably happen, HOWEVERā¦
āIncrease of mining ship lossesā
NOTHING in these changes will effect mining ship losses. Sure you may get some losses in lowsec since people moved there but those people simply swapped losing their barge in nullsec to losing it in low. The amount of ships destroyed does not go up.
āMineral income from refining items to increaseā
so increase reprocessioning efficiency on ships and moduals. FFS what has these goals got to do with the changes? It feels like you just made these goals up at the last second right before you hit post after all the changes were decided.
Im betting my next monthly payment your player count goes down. Again.
You do understand that EVE is a multiplayer game, right? That it is possible to cooperate with other players to protect your mining operation with combat ships?
No no no.I already brougth this ship and i was planned to use it in nearest mouths with it brougth omega to use itā¦but ā¦what i will mine on that?veld?Scordit? And produce with?Since after this update prices on asteroid minerals will go up(on 25% defenetly or even highier).Whats a point produse goodsā¦(and i was try to go in lowsec but that was a bad exp and i am NOT goin in there and i am not risky man at all)ā¦idk amymoreā¦just i dont knowā¦ and what i should do with wasted sp?I was really enjoy it thisā¦Its just so frustratingā¦damn it
From the gas huffers prospective the demand of instrumental sites is going to get even higher. My corp use to pay a bounty to anyone who would scan down an instrumental. I believe we still do i dono, i dont scan much these days (dark venture is recruiting!).
Only if the decrease in spawn frequency is greater than the increase in per-site yield. If, say, spawn frequency only decreases by 25% while per-site yield increases by 100% then the net result is that gas mining becomes less profitable as prices go down. If spawn frequency decreases by 90% then gas mining becomes more profitable as prices go up. If you want to make gas mining less appealing (as you apparently do) then you should hope that the nerf to spawn rates is small.
Everyone makes mistakes. Best to learn from this one, move on, and find a game more suitable for your goals.
CSM input was not required or desired
trust me, they donāt care about your input either
Believe me when I say āwe knowā when it comes to them not caring about our feedback. Iāve stated before that one should never underestimate the amount of stupid CCP can bring to the table.
Sadly, they may be replaced by a link to the in-game gem store where you can buy more ore crates. All rng of course.
You havent been to low sec much have you. Black ops hot drops are way too common, along with the absurd amount of titans dying in low sec.
That mostly depends on t3 production, i believe c720 is a bottleneck so it would remain valuable. I dont really know myself i dont do t3. currently the 720 in a instrumental drops a billion isk, after the patch 2 billion (unless as you say demand drops). my buddy who does t3 says expect it to settle at 1.5. The bottleneck may shift significantly to gas from lower class wormholes since some are getting removed.
Still its a huge buff to venture pilots who were already living the high life compared to roq pilots.
what path?
missions - loot drop rate reduced
drones - drone alloys removed
wormholes - some **** got tampered with, I started making way less after an update
mining - uhm, not sure what to think of this
