Resource Redistribution Update

It depends what ore brings the most profit. If they can mine in null, sell to market and buy the trit they need with change left over, they’ll do that.
If veld is the most valuable ore they’ll spend time mining in high instead.

I.e. The market will self balance just fine.

Well yeah but they could already take it over whenever they wanted before, which has been proved when Goonswarm decided that a system would flip to Triglavians and nobody could do ■■■■ about it.

My point is that you can hardly say that the update is bad just because Null Blocs might do that, while they actually already might do that since several years whenever they want.

I’m not worried about the balance, I’m just curious about how many will mine themselves.

 Always a plus!

Remote. Shield. Boosters. Moron.

Why would I take aggressive action in highsec when I can just use the 475k ehp orca to rep the 100k ehp Skiffs and let CONCORD deal with the gankers?

moron you can not rep another ships in engagements in HS unil you attack first the ganker :stuck_out_tongue:

If you rep a ganked ship during a ganking concord is called off…

The above I stated is incorrect…concord is not called off BUT the repping ship is killed as well as the ganker’s ship

Honestly people know about as much as pseudo-doctors doing a google search on their own symptoms. And then crying when the real Doctor won’t accept their bull ■■■■ internet diagnosis.

You seem to be conflating ganking and wardec mechanics. As long as the aggressed ship doesn’t shoot back, they can be repped and CONCORD will still show up, and will not attack the aggressed ship or corpmates repping him.

try it out.

What do you think the 10m delay in responding was?

we are talking about gank and not about wardec right? why then are the freighters get not repaired if there are no problems with them, they are not attacking anybody?

Because the gankers are wardecced, and the anti-gankers aren’t in the freighters’ corp.

So you keep in mind that if an neut attacks your skiff in HS, you can repair it with your Orca without being concorded, even if your Orca does not attack the attacker before? OK…

Only if you don’t attack the ganker. If you do, then CONCORD will shoot the repping ship. AFAIK, that’s because shooting back activates a limited engagement timer, and the repping ship violates that timer.

As it always has been, wormholers get the raw shaft. Overall I do like these changes though. Since wormholers rely on logistics for near everything anyway, why remove more from them forcing us to buy more from outside the hole just to survive? If we are doing manufacturing/production within the hole and do not have the isk backbone like all those null sec’rs do, why is it every time there is an update we get screwed every single time?

Okay, this is interesting. Do you have to be in a copr for that? Apart from that, I don’t understand how anyone can gank a freighter when without engagement timer, repairing it is no problem at all.

As I understand it, if you’re not part of the same corp or alliance, then the gankers having a wardec will also trigger CONCORD response as ‘neutral logi’.

Obviously it would be exploited if it were fully out there…

It’ll be exploited no matter what. If we knew what they were shooting for ahead of time, we could tell them exactly how it’ll be exploited, just like we did on jump fatigue, AEGIS sov, citadel timers, the ADC, the ‘Ferox rebalance’, and sooooo many other topics.

I know this is a crazy idea for you guys, but most of us in the null blocs? We want a healthier game, too. And we’ve told CCP time after time ‘if you do X, this is how we will abuse it. And we will all abuse it, because if Group A doesn’t abuse it in this totally legit and allowed way, but Group B does, then Group A is at a competitive disadvantage, and nullsec is one giant goddamned arms race. Please do not put us in a position where we feel we have to do this. Do not let us do this. Fix this before it goes live, for the good of the game.’

Who knows? Maybe one of these times, CCP will listen when we try to warn them. But I doubt it.

If the change is successful, and Eve moves forward happily, are you going to apologize to ccp?

I have never liked mining but I’m actually interested with this change. I prefer low sec, because I like piracy. But if I can make a fortune running some rorquals in low sec then I might do it once in awhile when I need a new supercarrier. Maybe I’ll mine it, and trade you half your ore for a quarter of mine.
