But your suggestion wouldn’t help. Could the bumper just pay for a restraining order against you, in your home system, and cause you far, far more grief?

He could add an alt and have you restrained in Jita as well. This is the problem. Your suggested mechanic would be worse than the initial issue.

Heck, depending on how long it takes to get a restraining order, he could bump your freighter. Then get a restraining order on an alt, warp the alt to the bumper, then kill your ship without getting concord involved.

No one is trying to belittle the frustration you feel. It sucks, we get that. All we are saying is that your resolution would not be an improvement. Go back to brainstorming and think of new ideas.

Yes, he could, but, the restraining order goes both ways. It would be a little shake up. Additionally, if would be very expensive to continue to do it. Is it really worth 50m to apply restraining orders per person, wait 24 hours for it to go into affect just to take out one or two procurers? Multiply that by each target.

If it’s gonna cost 50 mil, why not just wardec? that’s what wardecs are for.

You can’t just wardec the griefers that are in a non-npc corp. That why this falls in the middle of do nothing and a war dec.

Nice twist. But, do what you will. It was and Idea and CCP can do what they will with it. The point was to get some chatter on it. Which you have nicely accommodated.

Wait, wasn’t it 4h? So now you are already nerfing your own idea because people put holes into it?

Its open ended, its simply not immediate.

Why do people keep saying this as if CCP won’t also pay attention to the criticism of these ideas?

Well considering the criticism is coming from the people who enjoy griefing I am sure they will consider it. They are not stupid and can see both sides of the coin.

Who it’s coming from is entirely irrelevant. Whether or not the criticism is accurate is what matters. If a genocidal maniac tells you that water is wet, he’s not wrong just by virtue of his crimes against humanity. The fact is, if you share an idea, you should EXPECT it to be criticised, and if you’re not prepared to handle that criticism on its merits, you aren’t prepared to share ideas.

That’s exactly why they will not implement it. Because they actually think about what the idea would mean for the whole game and not for your single limited viewpoint of this one little problem you try to solve.

I don’t see me buckling yet, nor have a responded in a hostile fashion. So not sure what you are eluding to. Nor did I combat anything you have said. Criticism is a necessary part of brainstorming and I appreciate the help.
Your contribution help to flush out the idea, refine it and get all the problems worked out. So as you see both sides are critical in working out the problems.

@ The OP this is General Discussion, not Features and Ideas where it would get the ridicule that it truly deserves.

I don’t think you understand. No one is trying to brainstorm or flesh out your idea. They’re shutting it down because it’s bad. We’re not helping you work it’s problems out, because the whole idea in its entirety is the problem. Every tool you add to this game, you add it for everyone. You cannot put things in the game that only benefit certain demographics. Your idea will be used against you, and to greater effect by people that understand the ins and outs of this game better than you.

You can try. I have been learned by Kalorned. You don’t see any kills for exhumers on my board. Yes I still mine.

Speak for yourself, I am always brainstorming. Not sure how that works in your world.
