The game’s population is not growing, but the number of daily logins remain within about 15% since the game’s last population peak, the introduction of alpha accounts. It’s almost like huge numbers of alpha accounts are logging in daily and just sitting afk in stations while spamming chat… weird eh?

There is no contradiction there. There is overlap. Some griefing is officially allowed. Some isn’t, in game anyway. But on the forums its all wrong, unconstructive and useless to all but the griefers who touch themselves when they see it.
