Revamped Daily Rewards System

I don’t like this part too much either. The data hoarder in me kind of wishes for a reward ledger of some sort, but that might be a little too anal.

If they could simply get rid of the random bs…

What is “unnecessary complicated” claim about the current 30 day progression is not clear. I don’t understand how counting to 30 is complicated. What is the real issue ? What about it is “unnecessary complicated” ? What is hidding behind this excuse ?

Big chuncks is the issue ? Then give equal amount of smaller chuncks every 3, 6 or 15 days (has to divide 50k and 150k easily over blocks of 30 days (Omega time)). No frustrating randomness needed.

Random sh*t is what is pissing me off about this.

no. Gas Scoops/Harvesters not a Mining Lasers or Ice Harvesters

I was literally about to ask for a Gold Machariel and Nightmare skin

Skins. Cool.

Still giving out SP? Not happy about it, but y’all are clearly not gonna change your ways because you believe this actually helps your player retention.

Some of those boosters?

Yikes. Man, if those things had been around when I was still really active in low sec PVP, I can easily see those being MANDATORY for some of those fits/comps. Maybe scale the tank/damage aspects back a bit?

The crying just never ends huh?

That is nice improvement - I often completely ignore the login bonuses, especially the temprorary skins, this is much batter

Which Booster Slot are these for?
I suppose each is for the same slot since you didn’t mention it.

I like the idea of permanent skins. I also like the new boosters affecting multiple attributes - it seems more versatile.

However I will miss the blueprints a bit. (only a little bit) It was a small bit of fun to gather the minerals and build the motley random assortment of bpc’s.

Question about the skins: Will it be completely random? Or based on what ships each player uses most? I’m assuming it will be random because that is the least development work - which will mean with my luck I will get skins for all the ship I don’t fly, hehe. (Happened with the temporary skins too in the past…) :upside_down_face:

They all slot 5

“To transition from the old system to the new one, we’ll be running a script that gives out the SP from the partially filled SP bars of all accounts that have logged in at least once in the last year (rounding up a bit here and there).”

Why the last year, and is that a full year in days backdated window or just until the start of this or last year?

It’ll count everyone who has logged in since April 5th 2021.
We put that limit on the reimbursement script to constrain the number of characters it would need to iterate over and keep the runtime quick. If someone hasn’t logged in within the last year then missing a small amount of free additional SP is probably not a big deal for them.

You could run it in stages, prioritising the past year, then as yearly blocks or something more managable thereafter thus not have to rush it. Then nobody misses out.

Then why don’t warp disruptors and warp scramberls have a RNG component like ECM does?

The wrost possible thing a new player can do is industry.

Mining in a venture in high sec, all trash tier ores, poor m^3 yield, poor reprocessing skills, producing products into a saturated market where they will pay more in sales and transaction tax.

New players will only learn this until after its too late and realize they had to spend a whole year just to be equal with the inumbents.

No it doesn’t, I have a bunch of old accounts in alpha, I just get the reward, do not even have to go into space. If anything the daily login should require more activity, no doubt people would not be as bothered if the reward felt like it was worth more than just clicking a button.

One step closer to just unbanning ISKBoxer?

Did CCP force players to have multiple accounts? Seriously, its sad watching tools getting developed to help people deal with the problems of scale that are self inflicted. They chose this path and with it should come the same overheads and barriers of entry that person with only one account endures.

If multiboxing gets a favourable gaming environment, as in, enabling more tools and multi-boxing functionality support, I think that’s the death spiral of Eve. Not the kind of game I want to play in.

You can have your fewer unique players, they can pay more, CCP can depend upon them more to stay in business, that means, it takes fewer unique players to leave to do more financial revenue damage.

Have it if you want. It’s your dinner plate. I can pick another game, and I lose nothing.

Remember, my enjoyment and entertainment puts food on your dinner plate.

A solo account / char player should be a first class citizen in a game, not an underclass.

RNG in loot drops is something else than RNG in strategic combat choices.

RNG in a battle means players don’t lose or win because they played well or played bad, it means you just were lucky or unlucky and that player skill is much less relevant. Not really fun, which just happens to be how most players viewed the old ECM: not really fun.
