RGC for CSM 18

I believe the sec status levels should be +10 -10 as well.

I did like having bounties but just like kill rights they were/are being abused. For bounties they would just kill the character with an alt to get the money. For kill rights they set up one with alts for other people to pay so they can get the money. I’d say something new needs to be made that hopefully cant be abused.

Sure.

Did you have answers for my other questions?

I won’t ask again, but I think these are important questions because you aren’t going to got a seat unless you can get the support of large groups. Most Highsec players don’t read the forums.

I am working on getting my votes from individuals not major corps/alliances. I am focusing my campaign efforts on the small guy, the one who’s voices never get heard. I have a lot of friends and a lot of enemies. Those friends (and ironically even the enemies) as well as myself are doing everything we can to make sure this campaign thread makes it out into the public as much as possible.

I can be rather flexible. I’ve given a lot of topics to work on over the comments and replies to this thread but altering or fixing ganking and wars are my main concern.

Ive gone into large details for the changes I am wanting to make with wars already in one of the comments above.

Now to answer the raising awareness and educational resources for if/when ccp refuses to remove ganking. Actively teach newer players how avoid and better survive ganks.
-How to properly use and create bookmarks. (insta undocks and isnta docks, pings off gates)
-How to properly tank ships for survival as a way to survive a tank long enough and staying aligned to a station so if needed its quicker and easier to warp.
-How to set and use standings as a better way to keep tabs on local for when gankers enter system.
-How to properly use and setup killrights so they arent public and easily removed by alts.
-How to properly use an alt for ECM protection if viable or possible.

This is a solid set of bullet points. I would go so far as to say this sort of thing should be taught to pilots very early in their career. Perhaps something like Iceaid mentioned in my thread about using the AIR program to teach pilots these sort of skills, how to identify and avoid ganking, and how to educate new players against the reality of scams.

/edit

I feel Star Map is underused by newbros and should be equally taught in conjunction with anti-ganking techniques.

Thank you for the responses!

Repping the little guy is admirable but you’re going to need 1K+ high ranking votes to have a good chance. There’s still some big Highsec alliances and groups.

Good luck!

Excuse me. I do not want liars on my CSM.

That’s The Resident Outlaw Of Hek on the killmail for those that don’t know.

The other party was CONCORDED in traditional ganking fashion.

No such thing as three people in a 1v1, which the KM shows.

It’s either a gank and everyone admits „OK“ cause it’s really not a big deal (instead of you turning this into a weird hill to die on), or your silly semantic wordplay „it’s not a gank if I expect it“ means: A) freighters autopiloting with 10b of cargo in Uedama get to shout „not a gank, I was expecting this fight!“ and B) you feel that a 800m bling boat frigate is needed to kill a basic thrasher with concord on your side (and you still lost)

In either case, voters got to ask „do I want a guy who creates weird hills to die on and plays semantic games on the CSM?“

You’re championing CCP’s involvement in teaching survival skills to new players, while your own corporation lacks in offering similar guidance.

Additionally, the concept of creating high sec islands for ganking in low sec, to put it bluntly, prompts inquiries regarding any perceived distinctions. This scrutiny intensifies, particularly when considering your association with such a group. Given the weight of every action in lowsec, pinpointing any disparities becomes a matter of utmost importance.

I concur that the war declaration mechanism is in need of reform.

A smaller corporation is unable to declare war on your corporation due to your arrangement with BlackFlag for protection. Consequently, should this lesser entity initiate a war, their structures would face swift destruction within a matter of days.

In essence, the process involves us investing 2 billion ISK for the establishment of a structure, initiating a war that lasts approximately two days, only to ultimately forfeit this structure as the war concludes.

My corporation does actually work towards trying to educate people on these matters. When we speak in local on the subject you and your alts/corp members start spamming chat with random junk in an attempt to drown us out.

My current corp/alliance affiliation is that of the largest HS industrial alliance in the Metropolis region. We do not operate in LS and as such would not greatly benifits from this change. Any past affiliations do not reflect current views or ideals of my current placement.

While I’m glad you are willing to support war declaration reform we don’t seem to be on the same page. I’m wanting to reinvigorate smaller corps being able to participate in war against each other while avoiding larger corporations from targeting smaller corps. As it stands now smaller corps can already declare war on larger groups all they want. It’s a mistake now and it will be one then also. The changes I’ve listed above don’t change that.

I believe your intention is to tailor EVE Online to match your preferred playstyle. However, I find that embracing change in EVE often unveils unanticipated avenues that CCP may not have initially intended.
Many players, including myself, eagerly seize these opportunities.

Good luck.

@RGC_Godfather would you back any idea mentioned below as CSM member?

  1. Insane idea - pay with PLEX in NES for extra dev time
  2. Quafe+ is from "biomass" (...or corpse reprocessing)
  3. Little things / Small QoL suggestions - Better Visibility Of Other Players’ PI Networks
  4. Little things / Small QoL suggestions - 13 requests for Stack Split enhancment since Jun’18
  5. Little things / Small QoL suggestions - PI KB-shortcuts for toggling between groups of structures

Aren’t all ganks fair?

Not sure why you would think otherwise?

  1. I believe CCP has done a lot of good over the years but thats all trial and error. They keep adding to the game in an effort to bring new life and that shows they really care about the game.
  2. skill injectors
  3. T2 variants of T1 battleships that dont get enough love (ie Maelstrom, Rokh)
  4. Ganking and the overall bullying of industrial and newer members
  5. actual pvp in general
  6. I cant think of anything off the top of my head
  7. I believe PI isnt extremely user friendly and its not very well explained. people need to use third party things such as youtube in an effort to teach themselves. So making it a little more user friendly and easier to understand.
  8. I believe that corps have received a good bit of update lately. I also feel its much further ahead compared to other games with guilds.

I can tell that you care about people’s experience, your the first candidate to mention mention these concerns as an answer to these questions.

agreed

  1. I believe that corps have received a good bit of update lately. I also feel its much further ahead compared to other games with guilds…

I think that the additions of projects was a step in the right direction, but the entire interface needs a deeper look. It’s corporation competing in space after all. Just my two cents.

Now that you have had some time to think…

  1. What doesn’t exist in-game that you hope never comes into existence?

Not to purposefully steal the plot of the movie Ready Player One but I have to agree with its message. I seriously hope we never start seeing real world ads from other companies start taking over our beloved Eve space. Lots of people use this game as an escape from reality. To become someone else. To be free and have fun. Being blasted with real world ads would take that escapism away.

Great answer!

Eve Echos is failing because of “pay us” micro transaction cancer that seems to be part of all PHONE ‘games’ at they are not really games, just ways to nickle&dime people slowly of their $$$.

AND that fact they STILL can’t properly LABLE things in the game. There are a HOST of skills & features that are STILL not properly labeled to say they are LOCKED behind the “Omega clone” feature.
Clearly the team or management does NOT care about QA/QC.

I agree in removing gank from highsec eve as long as CCP remove all kinds of resources it has.

  • Make new ores to teach a mining mechanics, with the purpose of teaching new players to mine (because its a hard mechanic).

  • The new guy will use this ore to learn how to reprocess and can be only be used to manufacture shuttles. No other purpose, (maybe a sell npc order?). This will teach the new players the mechanics of producing and selling stuff.

  • No moon mining in highsec. If the new player wants to mine some moon goo, Ascee, Karmafleet, Brave, EvE Uni and (insert lowsec newbie corp? here) will teach them. Also, big chance to add good moons in wormholes too, why not?

  • Hauling should be limited to commodities and easy/simple missions (lets call these missions L0, because it will only give little isk and some T1 itens that might be useful to the new guy). If anyone is curious about this, i can link a video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2bFGp_Y26Q&ab_channel=MinesGaming. This will teach the new guy the basics of hauling stuff so he can learn how to move things from one place to another, also remove the auto pilot mechanic from highsec, so this new guy actually learn how to haul stuff. Auto pilot would be allowed in dangerous space though.

  • Combat anom wont give escalations, also cap its level, max level of anom should be I as specified in Combat sites - EVE University Wiki. The basics of a combat anom will be given again to a new player (orbit npc, press F1 or click the button to shoot)

  • Exploration resources also follow the mining rules. Create new ones or use some cheap commodities
and use npc sell orders. This will teach the basics of exploration, scanning data/relic sigs and hack game. ( I could argue to also add some npc to show up so that the new guy also learn how to GTFO, unless this is considered too dangerous for him)

  • Also, highsec space needs to have less systems and with more islands like Map: Aridia - DOTLAN :: EveMaps and Map: Solitude - DOTLAN :: EveMaps, so the new guy gets curious about what kind of gameplay is ahead of him, like FW in lowsec.

All within the safe space a HIGH SECURITY system needs to be. New guys should be protected and danger should be limited to only lowsec, wormhole and nullsec space BUT Inserting methods to generate isk in a safe environment has never been a good idea even in others MMOs.

All this gank should be removed talk looks like people wanting to build an industry empire on CONCORDs back, but if its not the case of OP and he just wants to enjoy the games beauty with his 8k monitor in 400 FPS none of this should be considered a problem for his or anyone else that enjoys the game just because its a space game, gameplay.

Will you oppose RMT and Gambling operations being run off TOR and other means, RGC?

RGC Godfather, what are your thoughts on individuals using real-life money to fund in-game activities like maintaining structures and paying mercenaries with ISK?

Other than station camping and broadcasting intentions in local, are there additional strategies planned to combat ganking more effectively? Oh, wait, you want to remove it entirely because you can’t stop it without resorting to station hugging practices.

What are your thoughts on taking on another corporation’s identity, potentially acquiring internet domains, and openly telling the original creator they’re not doing a good job?
