No idea, didn’t happen to me. How long was the BS on grid, and how long since you entered the site?
The BS was on grid for like a minute or even less, but I guess I spent too much time with shooting and salvaging before I spawned it.
one minute is definitely not correct.
The timer for the BS warping out seems to be started when you enter the site, not when you start the hack. If you hack right away, you have all the time in the world to kill it. But I’ve noticed if you wait 10 minutes to do the hack, the BS spawns and leaves immediately.
I second this! I’ve noticed that if the DPS is too low, or the hack takes too long a time (ie. you fail a few times) the amount of time you get to spend pewpew-ing the BS can be close to zero sometime. Me myself upgraded to T2 drones and saved time shooting the smaller stuff down, that did it for me.
I did my first Rogue Swarm sites last night and had a very good run in going from site to site in a system where there were no neuts or hostiles. I made roughly 150 pts (and 200 mil in loot) before I had to go to bed.
This is the first even I ever participate in and I enjoy the scenery and the rewards even though I can clearly see it being nothing but a grindfest really.

That has legitimately never happened to me. Warp in, hack the can, kill the BS and loot it, THEN shoot and salvage the other waves. Why would you salvage DURING the battle, anyway?
You should try to get the BS done as fast as possible, as that reduces the risk of anyone stealing it from you. And, apparently, also reduces the risk of it warping out on you.

because you can kill more enemies when you don’t have hacked the site, meaning you get more agency points.
Click to redeem is bad gameplay, its not even gameplay… “keeping score” automatically is what computers are FOR. Can’t stand this “feature” - CCP please…

No, you don’t. Each site has 3 waves of enemies (one when you land and then a next one once you fully clear one), the battleship and a random amount of those tiny drone groups that are announced with a message in your local chat. This is independent of when you do the hacking.

also if you wait too long, the site despawns and the BS disappear as soon as it appears.
The BS spawns as soon as the container is hacked (Disabled Overmind BS). The waves of drones spawn independently of the BS. I’ve not observed any other way to spawn the BS in question.
Though, where are these drone implants coming from, I’ve done about 4-5 hours of hunting but haven’t had any luck yet.
*PS. Accelerators are now sellable in contracts AND market.

doing omni damage vs rats means you deal less damage.
Let’s consider the guristas, or the serpentis.
They have a kinetic hole. That means if you deal 100% of your dps in kinetic, you’ll deal MORE DPS than if you spread a quarter of your DPS in each resist type. That’s the reason why wasps II are better than any other T1/T2 heavy (including gecko)
OK, I was wrong PVE thinking pilot detected.
When we talking about PVP omni damage works just fine against reactive armor hardener.

Actually it’s quite boring, hack site, blap BS, loot, wait or roam. The only fun part is if folks try to block the site by not hacking the wreck. Then you can train your bumping skills. Glad I’m running in a Macha. 
I firmly believe that this is the intention behind the “events”.
This has the fasted site completion, there is no real competition (except the blocking tactic) and no strategy or special fit required. The fast completion time makes it unlikely for one to get the BS kill if one is not the first in site.
Drop rates are good, the manual claiming of rewards is annoying.
It’s a nice event, done a few sites now.
I used an Algos (got decent drone skills) and it’s pretty easy to:
- Kill all but one drones,
- hack the can with a tier 1 data analyzer,
- kill the overmind with drones and guns,
- then salvage the wreck of the overmind with my one spare salvage slot,
4b. while my drones take out the rest of the waves.
Yes, with a tier 1 salvager it takes a few cycles, but I find that the Algos is suited well for this event. With better skills, a tier 2 data analyzer and most importantly, a tier 2 salvager, this could be even faster.

A lot of things aren’t worth doing when you make more than 80mil/hr. But what’s your fun/hr?
I like doing something new, getting a few skins and seeing what this event is about. The boosts such as the accelerators aren’t bad either.
