The ongoing assault on Alparena III by Taayusaka forces has escalated with renewed intensity, as reports indicate an extension of the operation’s timetable. Originally framed as a swift peacekeeping mission targeting an interstellar smuggling ring, the operation is now expected to stretch by an additional week. Multiple rural and suburban communities have been severely impacted as fierce fighting rages between CorpSec units and the planetary garrison.
Local sources describe scenes of widespread destruction, with entire neighborhoods abandoned or destroyed in the wake of the heavy combat. The planetary garrison, despite mounting a desperate defense, appears increasingly overwhelmed by the relentless and highly mobile tactics of Taayusaka forces. The ongoing conflict has sparked panic among the local population, with many fleeing the affected areas or seeking refuge wherever they can.
Additionally, the Fukamichi Corporation, another member of the Caldari State, has reportedly joined forces with Taayusaka in their operation. Fukamichi is said to be playing a role in maintaining the State’s space superiority over Alparena, as well as deploying security personnel on the planet itself. However, their involvement has so far been limited to auxiliary roles, with no direct engagement in frontline combat thus far.
When contacted for comment on the extended timeline of the operation, Commander Yusuke Harada of Taayusaka CorpSec maintained that the mission remains on track:
"The operation on Alparena III is proceeding right on schedule. The decision to extend the timeline was made to ensure a thorough and complete elimination of the smuggling network that threatens the security of this region. We expect the mission to be concluded successfully before the end of the month.
We strongly urge the Federal garrison to stand down and allow us to clear out these criminal elements. Continued resistance only serves to endanger the lives of the local population and prolong this unnecessary conflict. Cooperation would lead to a swift and peaceful resolution, which is in everyone’s best interest"
