Report from Elysian Stewards on ‘Vanguard’ type Warclone blanks
Executive Summary
Following several deployments of ground operational forces by The Deathless, a priority was placed on the recovery of and study of novel warclone blanks being employed by forces in the deployment. In addition to a potential type being employed by Mordu’s Legion and Upwell Security Forces, the ones deployed by The Deathless, the so-called Vanguard, were of particular interest, amplified further with Arkombine’s defection to the Deathless Circle.
To that end several contracts were issued for Accorded Entities that may have deployed on regular security contracts in the region to capture or obtain information, units, or samples of the blanks in question for the engineering teams of the Elysian Stewards to comprehend them.
These included The Freed Legion who gathered extensive combat data across the several deployment times, The Variyazi Clade who captured some of the first intact specimens, and additional help from the Capsuleer Viriel for providing insight into the nature of some of the underlying clone sculpting at play, and for the scientists of UNF for their extensive knowledge of technologies derived from the Valkyrie

Technological summary
The most striking detail of the blanks being used is that they are of a Jove design, of one of the earlier Empires compared to the Jove that the wider cluster is most familiar with, as expected given the architecture of The Fulcrum station in Zarzakh. Infiltrators and Accorded entities that have entered The Fulcrum confirm that there are Jove Clone Fabrication units active in The Fulcrum that are being used to manufacture these blanks en-masse, accounting for their significantly lower ‘cost,’ being largely provided free of charge or only in exchange for biomass enough to replace the clones in question.
Being of an era of Jove technology focussed around biological manipulation, they make extensive use of biotechnological sculpting in order to replicate many Warclone Blank features; however, they lack many of the advanced combat advantages expected of even modern Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Warclone Blanks, instead opting for physical performance not all that dissimilar to Baseline Human or that of IndustrialHazCon blanks.
The key advantage appears to be a novel biotech based FTL Communications implant, capable of significantly longer range and higher bandwidth than that of the standard FTL comms integrated into COTS Blanks. In effect this has so far allowed for the ‘Vanguard’ type blanks to maintain near-constant communication with Zarzakh well outside of expected ranges for the technology with virtually no available relay station in-use. Intelligence gathered by Recovery Operations confirms that this novel approach to FTL communications implants in the cluster was invented by the ‘Quartermaster’ of infamy amongst Warclone Pilots, previously active among the Valkyrie and Schism factions.

Intelligence Report and Psychological Evaluation
Interviewed signatories who have undergone the conversion has found that the individuals in question have changed dramatically compared to backed up personalities; having had significant alterations to memory. In particular first-gens who have undergone this have trouble recalling information from before their initial conversion into Warclones. Subsequent comparative review of their data reveals that the remaining sleeper elements intact from their original implants (and potentially those from other first-generation blanks) have been somehow blended into a single being or consciousness.
According to recovered technical documentation from intelligence assets (see appendix D.) this blending is necessary for compatibility with the Jove Biology of the blanks in-use.
Second Generation and onward warclones who undergo the transformation into Vangaurd type warclone appear to use recorded elements of sleeper consciousness from other Warclones (though this could not be confirmed entirely), leaving their psychological drift from previous clones significantly less than that of first-gens, leaving the majority of memory intact and maybe even having old backups still viable as an emergency backup in case of loss of continuity from the current personality stack state.
Study of this has found that there is at least one positive for First-Gens: the reduction in instances of ‘514’ or similar loss of control events amongst those individuals who have undergone Vanguard conversion; in fact, so far there have been no recorded incidents, even amongst individuals who were deemed at particular risk who had previously undergone voluntary containment in AVALON
Addendum from GLATISANT Tribunal: lingering questions remain on the nature of the ‘Sleeper Elements’ or ‘Sleeper Threads,’ with some speculation that they may be non-organic in nature. Questions remain as to if said threads represent a particular risk to specialized Law Enforcement Agencies tasked with policing potential Non-Organic Sapiences. Red Troop Compliance is difficult enough without bringing in consideration of DERAIL Compliance audits at a higher frequency.

Elysian Stewards Recommendations
At this time, there is significant danger represented in the usage of such ‘Vanguard’ type blanks represents an unacceptable risk for overall adoption. Performance characteristics can be largely rectified through usage of a ConstComms implant on even an IndustrialHazCon clone, though the cost will be higher almost necessarily. At this time the Elysian Steward recommendation is to avoid the technology but that those who have become ‘Vangaurds’ still represent a type of Warclone.
Technological dissemination will follow this on the specifications of the captured implant and clone samples
