Salvager love

While grinding missions I used two combat ships and one noctis. Forget the set up on tracs/salv but I pulled in and salvaged wrecks faster than the mtu could pull them in. I just the mtu collect the loot boxes left after salvage so I only had to collect one loot crate instead of a ■■■■ ton of boxes.

Oh but thats multi boxing omegas! I know. I cleared rooms fast with kills and salvage. Worth it.

It is a chance to access the wreck and not a chance to get more salvage. If you have a lower chance it takes more cycles on average and therefor longer to retrieve the salvage, but you still get the same stuff.

It is worth noting that each wreck has a pre-determined amount of salvageable components. While pilot skills and better equipment make accessing the salvage easier and quicker, they do not increase the amounts of salvage gained.

LMAO, if you had not posted that i was going to go grab it myself.

Actually it’s an official CCP statement.
You could have found it if you had made a minimum search.

So according to CCP ,

It is worth noting that each wreck has a pre-determined amount of salvageable components. While pilot skills and better equipment make accessing the salvage easier and quicker, they do not increase the amounts of salvage gained.

Sorry, you’ve been salvaging full clears for several years and thought that salvaging chance increases the salvaged amount ? You must be very wise ! It does not. Well, according to CCP, eve-uni (which gives a better formula) - but not from MDC, who is above logic and thinking.

Yes, that’s what we call math. The same ways when you have two hardeners at 50% you gain 75% not 100% resists.

Yes, they do.
You keep affirming something wrong, again.

Go make your homework before spreading your shite here !

Everyone knows I’m a PvE expert. So did you expect less?

Also as another T2 mat sink.

I dont think T2 Salvage drones would de-value salvage mats.
Just offer an option for more serious salvagers to make faster salvage ticks.

Players can still use Noctis, T1 salvage drones, tractor/salvage Thrashers etc.

Its a bit gimmicky and not something CCP can laud as a “wow added content” thing, but I dont see any harm in it.

More effective slavage tool will mean price for salvage material will drop. So you will be where you was, just with more material to carry. On the other hand if T2 gear will ensure you can occasionaly get blue salvage from elite NPC wrecks… that can be interesting. Current meta for mission running is blitzing with almost no loot / slavage, T2 drones capable of retriving T2 salvage material can change that. Even if chance will be very small.

I salvage a lot and I really dont think the increased cost would justify their use over disposable T1 drones.

If anything, Id like to see more interesting things fall out of wrecks.

Like porn, or goldfish bowls.

Umm…yes I know that. But they bring wrecks in to salvager range. That leaves 3 high slots for salvagers. I can salvage faster than two marauders can kill with two MTU’s running. Point being, the MTU makes salvaging so easy as it is, why do we need an upgrade?

I only partially agree with that.

The salvaged items of a wreck are set when the wreck is created, meaning more effective salvagers won’t result in more salvage items after the wreck is salvaged.
If only the %chance to salvage is enhanced, then as I showed you only get a reduction of 25% of the time to salvage BS hulls with drones, ignoring their travel time. That means, the time to salvage is actually increased by less than 25% even with 100% chance to salvage for each drone. This means, you can’t increase the isk/h of salvaging by more than 25% by playing only with the base access gain of drones. That’s what I explained above.

However I agree that if you add more stuff in the wrecks, then the price of those stuff will go down. In the end the isk/h of an easy activity will go down too.

Salvaging and tractoring are two different things.

I dont see any harm to EVE from T2 Salvage drones, or even T2 salvage modules.

Salvaging is already relatively rare, why not offer an opportunity to make it somewhat more efficient, if you choose to invest into the drones/salvage modules.

You can still use T1 drones/salvager if you prefer.

You do understand MTU’s work in tandem with salvagers, right?

The reason is because it’s a retarded, unneeded upgrade. The price of salvage already reflects how easy and efficient it is to collect. It does not need to be made any easier. Why is this so hard to understand?

Thankfully, this will never happen, because CCP isn’t THAT dumb.

Doesnt make it easier, as the T2 drone/module will cost more and incur higher risk in investment.

It wont depress the salvage market anymore than say T2 mining modules/drones depress the ore market. Just business as usual.

Either use them, or dont.

What risk? There is very little risk, and the cost will be marginal at best. Yes, it will make it easier, regardless if it costs more or not. Those two are not the same thing. You keep saying things that you believe to be true, but factually make no sense.

I’ve let this go on for too long, I’m wasting my time trying to explain this to you. I have no need to use them or not, they don’t exist, and never will.

T2 modules/drones are prevalent in EVE.

Game is doing just fine.

I dont see how T2 salvage drone/module would cause any problems.

Either use them, or dont.
Up to you.

You are wasting your time arguing against something that will not have the negative impact you pre-suppose.

Inb4 you post again, though you said you are done.

You do realize the t2 salvager is already in the game right? Do you even play eve?

So what?

T2 salvage drones arent.

That’s “so what.”

I’m done, it’s like talking to a brick wall. T2 salvage drones will never be a thing, regardless of how many of you think they need to be.
