Does not change the fact I would never do it or understand how anyone else would that is or is not a public figure.

Upside, there is none.

Again, thanks for pointing out why I lumped you in with the other guys.

I mean let’s take what he said on its own completely removed from the context of what he was responding to.

He made no threat, but an offer. And death wasn’t even implied. So calling it a death threat is a bit much.

And you lumped me in with them well before any of this. Just because I disagreed with your view that no one should speak out against the great ccp.

That was supposed to be sarcasm? I don’t get it.

You, from all the people that uses this forum should know how to deal with inappropriate posts. Flag the post for the moderation, don’t engage, keep in control of your narat…Oh, wait!

I got worse than this in my real life job in a regular basis. And I’m sure I’m not the only one.
And I expect anyone that want to represent me to do better than make a drama about it happening Inna video game forum.

Yes, it was sarcasm.

So do I, but that’s why I don’t expect it and shouldn’t have to deal with it in a ■■■■■■■ video game, dude. Again, if you think this is okay, just say so.

So you want them to publicly shout in to the void that isn’t listening, i mean, they are going to listen to the CSM just as much as they are going to listen to you, so not sure why you think they have to make posts you’re already perfectly able to make yourself lol

There is a reason most don’t waste their time, because appearing to be vocal about something they have no impact on really is an exercise in futility

No, I don’t condone death threats (as lame as they may be).
However, the other guy is not my representative while you choose to be. And I reserve myself the right to express my opinions about how you act while representing me.

Difference is, they aren’t representing “you” they are representing the playerbase as a whole, and for the most part the playerbase gave up whining about something that is never going to change, so you’re free to shout in to the void all you want, but don’t expect others to waste their time adding an extra voice to a long since lost cause

If by “the playerbase as a whole”, you mean the special interests that stuffed the ballot box to get them elected, then sure.

But here’s the thing. I can count on one finger how many CSM members actually look at the player base as a whole when deciding how the game needs to proceed for a good future.

And that one CSM member is not Brisc.

It’s not something I’d buy either, but after playing Black Desert for a while I did see some of the players these “deals” are designed for. The way I figure it, if someone can afford a very high end PC, they would also be inclined to spend big on game purchases.

I don’t like it, but I can see why game companies do it.

Ask @Brisc_Rubal if that difference is meaningful.

From my part, I never claimed to be talking by anyone other than myself. Also I’m confident what I said is valid even if no one else add an extra voice to it.

I’m going to throw it out there that I really don’t know how much control CCP has over how the game is advertised, or what campaigns get run. It is entirely possible that PA stipulates that these sales are required and CCP, being owned by PA, would not be at liberty to say they are opposed to it. Not if they value their jobs at any rate.

And you’d be completely wrong, as usual.

Whether it’s meaningful or not is irrelevant. We represent the entire game. I do my best to share opinions with CCP that I collect from players, regardless of whether I agree with those opinions. I asked today, for instance, to talk to the marketing team to explain again why folks don’t like these ads even though I know full well that I’m wasting my time and theirs to do so, because folks were so vehement about it.

I still do my job, even if folks don’t give me credit for it, or try to give other credit to folks who aren’t doing what I do, for whatever reason.

They have 100% control. This is all CCP. I have seen zero evidence over my three years on the CSM that PA has ever interfered with how the game is advertised.

Thank you for your insight. Generally I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, and being so far removed from the people in question there’s a lot of doubt for them to be the beneficiary of. Given the tone of the thread towards you, it was very generous of you to give me a direct response.

You’re welcome. While I think there’s no point complaining about these ads anymore, I do want to make sure folks understand that this isn’t PA forcing CCP to do things they don’t want to do. How they advertise is up to them, and we’ve met with the marketing team in the past and expressed concerns with some of the recent marketing campaigns (get wealthy in EVE!, destroyer packs, etc).

… then why do you go out of your way to encourage it?

the fact that CCP has been doing this well before PA should have been enough evidence yet people still want to blame PA.

Did you seriously just make a “he was asking for it, look at what he’s wearing” post?

more like a, you keep putting people down and being hostile towards even the most benign post counter to you and are surprised when people return the favor.

but yeah, go ahead and compare people saying mean things on the internet to rape.
