Twisting what people are actually upset about and belittling it as being butthurt over your ‘honesty’ and not people annoyed that you came into a thread, that had nothing to do with stopping this from being a thing and everything to do with venting and laughing at the situation, just to tell people they shouldn’t bother.

I have shared my opinions and attacked nobody. Again, I’m sorry if you think that my belief that this is a waste of time is some kind of personal attack. It’s not.
My source is the multiple meetings we have had with CCP on marketing, where we have met with the people who have written these ads and my conversations with CCP Goodfella and others who are responsible for EVE’s marketing.
I’m not sure why me telling you we have directly talked to these people needs a citation.

Sorry, again. I just assume that people have more important things to do than complain for the sake of complaining. If you’re looking for things to do, there’s this video game I play with my friends that’s pretty fun - you should check it out. Much better use of your time than complaining.

Another tactic that is often suggested by moderators in cases where the item being discussed is an irrevocable “business decision:” constructive criticism.
1000 “this idea is terrible” complaint posts won’t change anything, but a complaint with an idea trying to make a particular change “less terrible” has a chance of getting through. If its not buried and lost under a pile of “this idea is terrible” complaint posts.
A pile of SP is only half of the equation toward getting a lapsed player to consider returning. CCP could make it even easier.
Okay, I am making my way through this thread trying to catch up so expect a few quote and comments. Hell when has CCP ever said CSM approved this? They do not throw us under the Bus they just comment about the bumpy road.
Oh and earlier in the thread? Yeah Brisc does fight when they do this monocle level stuff and tells them what the damn reaction is going to be. Turns out Brisc is right, a lot of the times.

Fair question. I am on my 5th term as a CSM and I do not regret the time I have spend on it. I like trying to help. But when some of you yell ‘do your job’ please remember that I am retired.
This is a volunteer position, with the caveat of having to be elected to boot. My ‘pay’ is a few accts omega’d and maybe a trip to Iceland (If there is a summit). No, I do not do it for the ‘things’ nor for the glory of having players blame me and Brisc for everything or for at least not stopping the bad stuff.
I disagree, Brisc does advocate, at times, for things that may be bad for ‘his people’ but good for the game. Most of the Null sec CSM are known to warn CCP about possible exploits that they will do if a bad bit of game is introduced. Over the years CCP has SLOWLY learned to listen to them (sometimes)

Look, I got to the bottom of the thread and I want to reiterate what @Brisc_Rubal said, early on. Vote with your wallet. If it is a bad deal? don’t buy it and tell others to do the same.
The perception of newbros to catch up is something we need to correct over and over again because there are always newbros to teach. It is not a ‘we settled that long ago’ type of thing. They come in, see people so much more powerful than they are and want to fly with the big boys . . . now. Make and publish a skill plan to help them get there or else . . . well nobody wants to leave money on the table.

and i wasn’t the one who was saying he didn’t… I was one that commended him on how he worked on the csm… right up to the point he tried to lump me in with ppl who send death threats
people were ust herre to vent and laugh at ccp. you were the one who came in just to start ■■■■
Everyone will have a different opinion/requirements but yeah if I did consider playing the game again I’d rather have some game time and less SP as part of the deal than spend a lot of money on SP and still have to spend more money again on game time.

again im thinking its less about getting people who aren’t playing to come back and more about getting players who are playing to add sp to an alt they no longer use. if it was about getting people to come back there would be game time.
