Event is not a problem. Lack of gameplay understanding is your issue.
I’m better off without it. By the time I do all my toons for the measly amount of SP I don’t have time to actually play EVE and have fun.
Whomever though killing X NPCs was fun needs to go back to WoW. It is a hamster wheel. This person(s) will come up with worse ideas!
I’m off the wheel, back to having fun playing EVE for goals, not trivial grinds designed to inflate the login numbers for their masters.
You can take your hamster feed SP and put it where the sun don’t shine.

Good. I see this event as one that helps small people with few alts, not someone with alt count in dozens.

As a player with only one account and one character, I have found the spree event helpful. But I could see how it might be tedious for players with many characters.

put your characters in a dead area and not near somewhere populated…usually your one of the people yelling at people to adapt

I take part with 5 chars over 3 accounts and stongly dislike it. Yet all of those chars are beyond 50MSP so it really pays when compared to injectors (that I don’t use because I’m tight). I’m worried that CCP falls victim to the beancounting mentality all of us hate a the workplace.
I therefore would like to state publicly: DEAR CCP, THAT I DO IT DOESN’T MEAN I LIKE IT AND IF YOU KEEP DOING THIS ■■■■ YOU WILL MAKE ME QUIT!

They did a similar thing with SP a few years back and it was taken away after while when the usually meek, mild and non confrontational eve players voiced an opinion… it seems it’s back, but yeah you dont have to do it.

I have a fair few chars across a few accounts, but I’m only bothering with the event with my alphas (because it lets them train beyond 5mil sp) and for the 50k sp on omegas.
Don’t worry about losing out on a bit of sp here or there. Especially if your a vet.

Id rather see this be an event for new acounts to try and keep new players playing for the first 30 days and then it would end, hopefully getting them to want to stay for the game itself while getting them some SP to at least be able to play the game to a small degree.

The 65% of Eve players who only have one account will be able to harvest an injector worth of SP over the course of this event doing what they would likely be doing anyway. The event simply encourages them to log in every day. Add in players with 2 accounts and you have over 85% of the player population covered.
Bear in mind that a +10 cerebral accelerator gives 900SP/hour and people happily pay millions of ISK or run entire event sites to get them - but shooting a belt rat for 10K SP is too much work!
