Have never seen them enter any mission area or dead space complex. I’m sure people have been running missions in systems I’ve hunted them in. The only area i’ve fought them in that wasn’t a belt/planet/sun/fort/customs was one of those de-cloaked Jovian structures.
@CCP_Falcon I think the Triglavian recon squads are an excellent addition to the game, and I would like to sincerely congratulate CCP on this effort to add interesting and engaging content, which naturally discourages the AFK ‘playstyle’. Well done! I love it. Consider my subscription renewed.
Please continue moving the game in this direction. It’s getting better all the time.
Came back to the game a few days ago. Thank god I’ve been mining in my Skiff! When those rats jumped in I thought it was just same-old-same-old but I ended up out of shield, out of cap and three quarter in the red on armor but I lived.
I was better prepared next time. Tech 2 drones, more alert, better targeting. now I lose maybe a quarter shield and it’s back to buisness.
Triglavian Squads, NPC miners…entirely way too much BS to deal with. Its one thing to have Pirates/Code warp in and attack and that’s fine, its entirely another thing for a gaming company to interject more risk plus deplete resources you want to mine , sandbox you say?, not anymore IMO.
I like triglavian agents more. at least they drop more usefull stuff
My friends were used to enjoying the game by sitting in a belt and busting rocks, moved up to Skiffs and could tank the belt rats, Life was good. They did not want any more challenge than that. They WERE having fun. SOLO by choice! The Tri_fuc_ing Game spoilers are making them log in kill the allotted rats for the days skill points. Go to settings and thumbs down the DID YOU Enjoy not being able to do what you wanted to today! They plan on letting their subscriptions laps. Yup Care bears that will no longer be sending you money. Oh Yes Money, Lets see the market charts of the bottom line at CCP as they drive away customers. Good job at nailing the BOTing players but why F.U. the whole sand box?
If no changes are made so people can find a place in the sand box doing what they want to at their comfort level people will leave, not a ranting do this or else, a fact of life!
If any one has any common sense an attempt to save existing customers would make for good vibes and a retention of once happy customers.
They do not want to deal with the Triglavian in the high sec belts…
They want an area where they can mine and kill rats that die like they used to.
You wont make a change because of my post! You will make a change when your short of cash flow.
Be smart it, is just a sand box, make a place where they can play in the sand any way they want.
Some one wants more challenge give it to them. Some one wants to pay you to click on a rock, you are a fool not to take the ISK.
CCP the new High Sec CAMPERS the names of the campers are / Triglavian and Pirate Stronghold. Keep watch for them they sometimes even show up in the Agency intell channel, but not reliably .
Must start a probe of Concord, it seams they may have been infiltrated and have been compromised.
My care bears see Triglavian and Pirate Stronghold. They dock up (campers in system) and do not play for 2 weeks, So if your trying to free up server space, This could work! But then the revenue will go down. Now that is a balancing act!
If you need help with cleaning up the infiltrators in Concord let me know, I am all in!
07 and with respect Remember the F word! FUN
Not Frustrating!
Customer retention is important, or we wont have any one to pew pew with.
Would any of you hire a merc to deal with those recons?
Well, I for one am anxious to get back to mining in my Orca to raise isk to fit some battleships for L4 missions. Course these d*mn things eat into your profits when they smoke your mining drones and are a nuisance in a skiff. Since I originally posted, some of the AI has become clearer and as such several strategies have emerged.
The first is to hop in a combat battlecruiser and kill all but one leaving the starving > renewing > raznaborg. The idea is that until some idiot blaps the last one, there will only be one recon ship per system flying around. Data is somewhat limited, but it would seem possible that a starvings AI seems to be more focused on robbing cap and may do less damage and/or be less prone to target drones, so if it does warp in on a belt hopefully one will have time to get their drones up.
The second idea is to use a bait ship with a strong shield tank and kill off all but one recon, then slow boat off into space while it chases. Downside is that one has to have an alt or corp to lend a ship to the cause.
The third idea is sort of a final layer of protection. Basically the only slots a solo Orca can really spare are high slots, and perhaps a medium. I am not for sure but one could possibly keep a remote shield repper on one their drones. Doesn’t matter which, it won’t save the drone, just have it running to hopefully cause aggro. Also, keep and an auto targeting module running and a heavy nosfertu ready to go for aggro, which may be pointless due to the Orca’s slow targeting times. Also it might be beneficial to swap out an adaptive invulnerability for a drone navigation computer II to speed up the mining drone’s recall.
So the opposite maybe ?
Other than that, you have actually a lot of options
- go in a security mission that has ore in it
- go in a mining anomaly. Trigs don’t go there yet.
- complete a conduit anomaly. There you will have a lot of ore to mine, and only small rats popping in. Plus you won’t be reachable unless someone scans you, and the roids are far so people need to warp in the beacon first, then warp to a roid. Drop a can in the beacon and they will decloak on landing.
Or you could move? If I understand correctly the recon squads only spawn in the systems with emerging conduits, and those are not everywhere. You could fly a few jumps in a direction to find a clear system and mine away.
They are. There is none in jita, But unless players do clear them, I think every HS system can have them.
There is a big difference between can and do. Yes I imagine they can spawn anywhere. But they are not in every single system all the time.
So I just did a little 12 jump route to go pick up some crap I left behind in some station. Out of the 12 jumps 5 systems had emerging conduits and 7 did not. For the 7 that did not I hung around at least 2 minutes, since they typically respawn within 60 seconds to make sure I wasn’t missing a system where someone had just completed one.
I just did a trip of 76 jumps, to visit metroppolis with the minimum jumps (http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Metropolis#sec)

So exactly my point. Now the number of systems with them seem to be higher than a few weeks ago (maybe? wasn’t paying attention), they are not in every system.
I’m not done. The 3 first systems where without a conduit, the 10 after that were all with.
But you kinda are. Unless you found them in every system including the first 3, you have already shown they are not in everywhere.
nope.
So far after the three first system, the 12 other all had a conduit.
So far, outside of hubs all systems have a conduit.
So far, the claim to “find another system to get rid of triglavian” is a stupid idea.
Well then we are wasting time due to semantics.
I said they aren’t everywhere. You said they are. Clearly they are not in EVERY system as we have both seen.
now if you had replied “maybe not everywhere but damn near every system”. Or “maybe not everywhere but most systems”. I probably wouldn’t have even replied.
except that was proposed as a way to avoid them. Which is not doable.
I found more systems without conduits. Those are all .9 and 1.0 systems, so include starter systems, plus hek.
