That’s an old picture from 2015. The entire road where Pearl Abyss is located is now a large business park full of high rise buildings, of which their HQ is one.

Realistically, as a large skill injector covers about 10 days, that is 36 large skill injectors at around 36 billion. Which if one bought PLEX and converted it, is around £250. And that’s for a single account. You can’t in one breath claim Eve is too expensive, and in the next claim there’s masses of people who can easily afford to skip a year of grind with PLEX/Injectors. So which is it ?
You forgot to mention that industry was more controlled by those who had the patience to work with spreadsheets out of game as we didn’t have the tools that people have access to today.
Also, players who enjoyed the scamming aspect of the game found it more easier to trick people with not only contracts but also with social engineering to get them to invest their iskies for shares in a corp and then end up losing it because that person ran off with the isk.
Yeah, Industry wasn’t for the average Joe, strictly dedicated player groups back then.
And oh man, I so remember my WH days with out of game tools and spreadsheets…
Also, some corpmate designed a WH tool with the crappy ingame browser we used to have.
And yeah, the courrier/contract scams were funny … Especially when setup by pirates during the 15km gate warp times … so many noobs fell for it … ( I know I did )
People making corps to get people’s trust to use corp hangars, to fire everyone and shut the corp down and run with the goods, was quite a good one too.
(Victim speaking … )
your logic example… if “PLEX online sponsored by visa” cos £1000 pa you would still argue the same point.
i’m ecstatic you love this game in its current state but some may not share the same logic as you, everyone has differant financial circumstances and time contraints.
just syaing differant points of view is great even one as narrow as yours.
There was a public talk on the TTC in EVE uni right before that went over the forge treaty and everything. Really great timing, considering the talk was bumped due to CFT trying and failing to evict E Uni’s NSC campus at the time.
CFT took out the primary Uni structure but luckily E uni still had their star FC at the time before they moved to Lazerhawks.
Nope…you’re obviously worse at Snakes & Ladders than you are at Eve. Down the snake you go…to post #52. Any chance we can have a lightbulb moment before post #1000 ?
i actually love snakes and ladders… no PLEX to buy.
“i’m bad at eve” … what does this mean, how can you tell, what criteria you using to arrive @ this conclusion, can you share with the group?
remember to show your working you get extra points even if like you … you are wrong you still win.
