Well, if TEST retreat after succesful attack it would be a greatest mistake.
But when they opened their cards there is no more chance for such attack.

I wouldn’t be surprised if those two were run by the same people, with a bunch of alts on either side. A secret surprise attack would be unlikely.
Dont be so sure, they have enough loyal players who can secretly move fleets on positions.

How long does it take to undock a Titan fleet? How vulnerable can Goons ever be with all the invulnerability timers and other delays?
When player actions are your content sometimes you have to grease the gears to get the machine rolling. War has changed. It is now a tool used by the hyper affluent of EVE as a means of entertainment. Losses? What losses? People have played for years and have enough Plex in reserves to fund a war of attrition that would last just as long. War is now a social gathering, a sincere reflection of Valhalla as capsuleers cycle between feasting and combat in its own immortal cycle.

you missed the eve vegas where there was a guy that runs 300 indy toons that needed a indy tab rework so he could spend less time seeing what was done. there’s thousands of indy alts that’s logon-build-log off. theres so much crap sitting in peoples hangers like that we could run the game for years with just being pvp and everyone losing ships everyday without any more mining/indy for a good long time.

At this point, I think the EVE playerbase will jump at any opportunity for meaningful PVP content. This is why there is so much support and hype for both sides. TEST did the gentlemanly thing of announcing the end of the nip. They did not go into this announcing a war. Since the announcement, things have been escelated.
I say bring the war on. Let the fights happen. The best memories in this game are created when you give players a reason to fight, with the tools and political landscape to do so. No other game on the market compares to EVE with the feelings of laugher or dread caused by a major conflict.
People need to quit complaining and enjoy the ride.
