I’m not going to complain about the value of the loot drops, I know I have negative luck when it comes to RNG.
But it would be nice if the boss would drop a key if we don’t get anything else event-related.

The value of the loot… uhm… where to sell that stuff anyway?? The est price is often in the order of 300 000 000 isk, but in real life you’re lucky to find somene to pay a milllion … so, the loot value is very deceptive. As of a few days earnings after some 20 sites should be around 1 billion, in reality I have yet to see even 10% of that… not complaining, just stating the matter as it stands.

Quite easy and accessible event, fun too!
Done 10-12 sites in an armor tanked Wolf (T2), it shreds the stuff and can handle the cap warfare.
Roam around, hit D-scan, track it down and kill. Continue roam until you find a Gurista site, enter, kill, loot. Pretty OK ISK - lots of drone control units Korako something used for building Geckos. Some ship skins and clothing as well.
I wouldn’t recommend a newbro to go solo though. I have 100M SP and full T2 fit Assault Frigate.

do we know what damage type to defend against yet? currently have anti-EM rig and 2 thermal mids. cant find anything yet on damage type they deal. I do know they neut you a lot so maybe passive tank only?

Jita is usually where most of the marketing happens in EVE Online.
The Estimated Price is based off regional averages which don’t update immediately. For example, the Estimated Price for a C3-X still shows up as around ~300m, which was the average for many months. Now that this event is dropping more of these modules, the price has gone down, around ~200m last time I checked.
Blueprints you can only sell on Contracts, and the prices for those will start to drop as more people participate in the event and the supply starts increasing.

Using only D Scan - You can find them in 30 sec. If it’s off structure then You serch next. Killed 5 of them Yesterday, but lot was sh… ( from sites - got something like 200 mln in 2h ) - Also I’m using Worm - abysal fit - sites are done in semi afk
This event is a great example of lazy programming. Why does the second gate eat more than one key and not let you pass. I just cleared the site and before I could enter warp another wave warps in and i’m pointed. Okay cool, handle the wave, but now when I activate the gate again it eats a second key and I get pointed again. Now I have no keys left in cargo and the gate that I’ve unlocked, twice is now, is locked again. So I go home with a repair and ammo bill. Cool event.

and as soon as i’ve tried pinning it down with dscan, it was gone, ive roamed around hitting V, and it was gone, but even, if i’d found it, then i’d have to travel, say, 17 more jumps, to find a site, and then 90763450897345 guys would also be in there.

By the way, it seems that the hunt got much easier now 
I went to a system with 3 sites in there, I had 5 keys in cargo. Started one site. Activated the gate - all keys gone. WTF CCPlease…
Yes, seems to be hard to find the eggs. Don’t be fooled. Player will find the eggs and not do the site. So all eggs are gone and no one can inter through the second gate. It’s like the event has a bug now.

ps: traveled back to jita from Bei, 0 eggs, and here i was happy to have an excuse to use a succubus for a change.
turns out every time you activate the gate it takes a key, so if you spam that ■■■■ like most of us do it takes 1 key for each press
Make sure your DSCAN settings are set to detect Irregular Capsules. Otherwise, you can always purchase Hunt keys off Contracts from other pilots.
I’ve seen them going for pretty cheap, around 10m ish now. And with each site netting you around 60-80m in loot (up to like 300m), I’d say it’s still worth to just buy them.

yes of course, i’ve found a couple of eggs, done a couple of sites, the first site was everything killed except the last rat, which is the one that drops the good stuff.
the second site, it took me literally ages to find an egg, then ages to find the site, and when i was in there, there where like 6 guys, i didnt get the loot, but i could see the wreck, it dropped a friggin gecko bpc… which is mainly why i wanted to do these sites, but they are so ■■■■■■■ scarce that its hilarious.
I am really enjoying this event, especially diving in with a T1 frigate, great Isk for an Alpha too xD

Day 1&2:
-Everyone excited to do the event, all pods are scooped up as soon as they pop out, sites are done as soon as they pop out.
-WTB Gate keys flood the contracts
Day 3&4:
-People are finding out the loot doesn’t justify the work most of the time unless you get real lucky.
-Contracts for gate keys start to switch to WTS.
Day 5+:
-Sick of having to hunt through system after system D-scanning ad nauseum.
-All contracts are people selling gate keys…and they’re getting real cheap because nobody wants to bother with hunting down the sites anymore.
About 2% of the players, (People who have spent 90% of the last decade living in New Eden more than their real lives) are doing great, and can do something with the loot, aside from sell it.
You can tell…because they are all here in the forum, about to flame me for this post, and bragging about how well they are doing, and that everyone else is doing it wrong.
When CCP told new players that they can get involved, I think the majority of that meant that they can be food for the veteran players that are podding them for fun. Poor newbies…
Bored…going back to lvl 4’s because it pays better, and I have no use for any of the loot acquired from this event. I really miss the old school events.
