You are asking to hamstring the vast majority of players with silly processes because you perceive some downside to AFK mining (there is none).

The Orca is fine apart from the fact that the mining drones just keep mining what they are pointed at allowing AFK play, the most important being 30+ Orca mining fleets in some hisec ice systems. The only change needed is to change that drone behaviour. Nothing else needs to be changed.

You made some odd comments about gankers that have no relevance to this issue which you used to try to ridicule my suggestion. Fact is that the Orca should keep its tank and everything else, but the drones need adjusting, just like the combat drones were adjusted in terms of aggression and in terms of being targetted.

Are these 30+ Orcas in your dreams? Do you have pictures?

Whatā€™s really funny is the price of ice doubled in the last six months. With an Orca and 4 barges I can make 500 million isk in an afternoon. Not sure what horrors these 30+ Orcas did even if they were real.

Whenā€™s the last time youā€™ve been to an ice belt? I bumped one of 30+ Orcas sitting in an ice belt just the other day. Theyā€™re always packed, unless itā€™s behind a low sec pocket like Actee.

19 in this post in this thread, 30+ was a slight overstatement on my part. But 19 or 30 AFK Orcaā€™s is not good gameplayā€¦

Get rid of the ability to mine AFK and they are fine.

OK guys lets wrap this upā€¦Orcas are not hurting Eve.

Hi sec is freedom and there are Orcas. Low sec and Null sec are Dead Dead Dead and there are no Orcas. You wanna kill hi sec too? Yaā€™ll got your rules and killed low sec and null sec now 'yer coming for hi sec.

I have lost one to FOB rats while watching it melt, not necessarily an AFK aspect. Make that at least two, those guys are no joke.

I almost died to FOB rats too in an Orca and a Skiff, I was not AFK. Thankfully I was using my two mains with high drone combat and repping skills on the Orca, so managed to keep my ships alive and take out the tackle and warped out in low shields. Was funā€¦

The only bots here claim to know what every single Orca in eve is doing (or not) and swear by their best implant that more Orcas are solo mining than not.
