The passing of an FC - Final Fleet

It was Killfest that dragged my sorry arse out of retirement back in 2012 and gave me the motivation and drive to start playing again. It was Killfest that set the wheels in motion for what would be the epic roller coaster of a ride of HAX corp.

It was exactly 77 days ago today that Kill and I spoke after a period of time apart and set asside our differences to fly with each other once again. And boy did we have a laugh! Those that took part in Kills fleets knew it wasnt about the spaceships, it was about the camaraderie and belly laughs that would undoubtably happen at some point during the roam. Thats what Killfest did, he brang people together.

It still doesnt sit right with me, Killfest’s last ship kill was @ 21:35 and it would only be some hours later we learn that our friend has passed to the other side.
Ironically the victim of his last kill was called Wong Fu KinGuy… It really was the wrong guy that was taken from us.

Jason aka Killfest was taken away much before his time and will be sorely missed. He made an impact in this game and im sure at some point he has crossed many peoples paths.

RIP my friend, its not going to be the same without you around anymore.

It’s been almost 10 years since I flew with KF but I recently remembered him and looked him up on zkill to find he was still playing. To now hear this is devastating news and had no idea it would hurt so much to lose someone you only flew with a couple of times so long ago. My thoughts goes out to his family and all his alliance mates. Rest in peace Killfest.

I flew with Killfest in Infestation all those years ago… RIP mate it was fun back then dueling with Turbulent in Tama and Sujarento. We crossed paths a few times after over the years and it was always friendly banter.

My brother who also flew with us sends his condolences.

Devastated To hear this, starting up HAX. way back and flying with KF for a long time since, i just can’t believe it. Only fond memories of him remain as i don’t think there was ever a bad moment with him In game, on comms, anywhere, ever. He was a big part In getting me trough the worst years of my life and i will forever regret not being able To thank him enough for everything.

I Will allways miss you friend, and thank you for being the amazing person you were.
Even when the tears have dried and life goes on you will allways remain In my heart untill my timer runs out.

Wow, absolutely blown away by this news. Killfest was a top bloke and made the game so much fun to play with his attitude of ā€˜shoot first and figure out the rest later.’ I was lucky enough to know the guys in Heroes and Hax, and whilst it’s been many years since we last played together, the memories are still very clear.

Killfest was one of my old school friends and the drunken roams we went on were epic. I’ll be coming back for this if my pc will run it. Love you buddy I’ll never forget the omen fleet where we killed two different fleets at the same time lol. Out numbered but not out skilled. I’ll miss you my brother.

Was sad sad news to logon today and have the convo open up from an old friend to hear this.

While we hadn’t spoken in quite a while I always remembered the days of late night roams mostly with alcohol and some sort of takeaway delivered just as a fight would kick off.

Must have been around 14 years ago we started playing eve and have done so much since. The ridiculous fights with me in the Falcon, HAC roams and of course his famous phrase of ā€œnot moving ever againā€ which I’m sure many will know well!

Oddly I even flew through a system the other day that an RR Dominix left there from when we flew together.

Had the best times flying with Killfest, the endless laughter and crazy fights in eve.

RIP KF

We will be inviting all parties to join us in a final hooray on the 13th Nov at 20:00 evetime leaving from Otelen. This will be an organized brawl where we welcome all capsuleer’s to join our public fleet or bring something to throw down against us, the rules are simple : battleships and support only, please join our public channel D-Sync if you intend to fly with us for more details. The grid and system will be announced at this time in the staging system and the fight will begin at 20:30 eve time, if you knew Killfest can I kindly request you share this post and get the word out to the wonderful community that is eve online. If your going to drop capitals can we request no more than ten per group, so we can keep the battle going and engaging for all parties involved, this is not about K:D Ratio its to remember one of our brothers.

Update Staging system remains the same, we will however engage in Huola if you wish to jump more than one ship in ready or set up for Capital Cyno’s.

Killfest was one of the guys that got me to start PvPing in Eve and helped me get my bearings back in 2008-2010, I’ll be there to honor his memory.

RIP Killfest.

Floored!.. just totally floored!
If it wasn’t for kill I probably wouldn’t have met some of the coolest guys in lowsec, he was an FC I never heard a bad word against and would never add any of my own.
Looking back I wish I’d remembered more of the drunken friday night bs
RIP Killfest wherever you are now
