Theorycrafter 1.0.1 beta

THIS. With Pyfa bugging out majorly on the latest Mac platforms making it unusable, the Theorycrafter folk can fill a niche demand amongst Mac Eve players for a reliable fitter app.

Good news, everyone!

Theorycrafter 1.0.3 is out.

Download Windows and macOS installers.

Major new features

  • Skill sets. Import your character’s from the game, or create a custom one.
  • “Pack Cargo for Battle” dialog to put all needed items into the cargohold.

Also:

  • Importing fits from XML file.
  • Controlling booster side effects.
  • “Add to cargo” action on individual charges/implants/boosters.
  • Automatically saves and restores window position and size.
  • Icons for all the context menus.
  • Move selection and use carousel with WASD keys in the fit editor.

I have merged all your posts about this project into this post, which is in the correct forum category.

Please post all news about your project in one thread only and do not spread different posts in different forums.

Good luck with your project, it looks very good so far. Keep it up

@ISD_Traindriver I’m ok with having one post, but the way you merged them doesn’t make sense. The top post should be about the latest version.

I don’t agree that it should be in the “Third Party Developers” category, however. The post about Pyfa is in the “PVP Ships & Modules”, which is the correct category, as that is the topic of the app. The “Third Party Developers” category is for developers, for discussing technical issues about the EVE APIs and software. My posts about Theorycrafter are meant for end-users, not developers.

do not spread different posts in different forums.

I wasn’t. I was consistently posting in the “PVP Ships & Modules” forum.

The posts are sorted by the date they were created, so the newest post should always be at the end.

I recommend editing the thread title and the initial post for new entries.

Since this is a third party app, the category is already correct

@ISD_Traindriver
It’s patently incorrect, for the reason I stated, but if you insist, please also move the Pyfa topic into “Third Party Developers”.

Also should be moved:

If I edit the initial post, then the original "first’ post will be lost. Looks like the forum isn’t built for long-running posts with updates.

Been giving it a run. And can confirm that the character skill imports are working quite properly and giving accurate stats, along with the booster side effects and the window positioning and sizes. Very convenient,

Keep it up, definately liking the Theorycrafter more and more.

As @ISD_Traindriver insists to put my posts about Theorycrafter in the wrong category, and CCP support doesn’t bother to reply to my petition about it, I will no longer be posting about Theorycrafter on the EVE Online forum.

I will, of course, continue working on Theorycrafter.
New releases will be announced at https://maryanovsky.com/sasha/tc/ and on Reddit in r/Eve.
