EvE is actually quite specifically a “PvP Sandbox” not a Sandbox. The extra word there makes all the difference. It is a sandbox within the indicated constraints of “PvP”.

What’s the difference? That kicking sand in other players’ eyes and knocking over their sandcastles is sanctioned and valid gameplay. But it is no more bad or good than calling a player who does them an [expletive deleted]. And we’re back at square 1.

By your broken logic (again having to re-explain things slowly for you) anyone who beats you at any game counts as “kicking sand in eyes and knocking over sandcastles” and makes someone a bad person. When someone “kills” you in EvE they are not breaking any rules, just playing the game as it’s meant to be played. No evidence of bad people until someone goes outside the EULA (CCP slap such people with bans pretty quick).
Basically you’re still talking total rubbish and even more importantly, still a bit butt-hurt about a video game. Show me on the doll where the nasty game touched you.

Show where CCP has ever used that in its marketing material.
You can do what you want, when you want, but only within the context of the rules and under the influence of others. No one in the game can shape the game to be what they want.
There are a handful of players that can rely on the support of thousands of others to influence what the game is, but that doesn’t include anyone in this thread and they still can’t shape the game to be what they want.
Its pedantic, but I think EVE doesnt well fit the description of a “sandbox”, and never has.
There are very little means to shape the sand of this game, as the boxed environment we play in.
Its more about how we interact with each other in that box, and the sand just happens to be under our feet.
EVE is all about the players, and very little about the sand.
Actually it’s the other way round.
Nature itself seems unfair and cruel to the weak and genetically inferior (in context of evolution). You can figure out yourself what certain people probably thus think about evolution and nature itself.
EVE is neither unfair, nor cruel. EVE is the fairest game of them all, because everyone has the equal chance of protecting himself. The dumb and too soft, who people like the sugar coated chocolate thingy called M&M want to protect, are the only ones ever complaining about the game, because OF COURSE they think the game is unfair. They are the equivalent of the genetically inferior who should be dieing out.
EVE is fair. People are too soft and dumb. Thank you, politics.

Nobody cares who gets called the villain. It’s when you pretend being the villain in a game makes you a villain in real life that you get mercilessly mocked like currently.
